PS5 - GTA 5 and GTA Online Pricing and Discounts

GTA 5 for PS5 will be 75% off for the first three months of launch, priced at $9.99 USD / £8.75 / $14.99 AUD. After three months, the game will cost $39.99 / £34.99 / $59.95 AUD. This version of the game includes the single player story mode, and GTA Online.

The standalone version of GTA Online for PS5 is completely free for the first three months of release on PS5. After the first three months, the standalone game will cost $19.99 USD / £17.99 / $30.95 AUD.

Xbox Series X/S - GTA 5 and GTA Online Pricing and Discounts

GTA 5 for Xbox Series X/S will be 50% off for the first three months of launch, priced at $19.99 USD / £17.49 / $29.97 AUD. After three months, the game will cost $39.99 / £34.99 / $59.95 AUD. This version of the game includes the single player story mode, and GTA Online.

Xbox versions of GTA Online will not be free at launch, but are on sale for three months at $9.99 USD / £8.99 / $15.47 AUD. After the first three months, the standalone game will cost $19.99 USD / £17.99 / $30.95 AUD.

oth GTA 5 and GTA Online will launch for new-gen consoles on March 15, and will include a number of improvements and new features – including three different graphics modes, "high-end PC visuals", increased population and traffic variety, and additions to GTA Online. You can also transfer your existing story progress and GTA Online character to the new versions.

Grand Theft Auto 5 and GTA Online are both immensely popular while also being nearly 10 years old. And while Rockstar confirmed it is working on the new Grand Theft Auto 6, until then Los Santos will still be open for business.

Such a sad day for xbox owners. Even though ps5 owners have to pay 10 for the game, xbsex/s wil have to pay 20.00. I could honestly say that there will be millions of xbsex owners switching over to the ps5 over this. Stay tuned

With it coming to Game Pass at some point again like it has in the past, it will be free for Xbox owners. Sad day for cows.

thats awesome news , since rockstar has already confirmed that the Normal version of GTA 5 will be back on game pass sometime this month. . so i guess that is good news for xbox 1 x owners?

I’m guessing that this is due to some sort of deal they have with Sony. Doubt I’ll get this version when I get around to picking up an XSX or PS5 myself. I held out when it first came out and got the Xbox One version and while I did very much enjoy the game that play through was good enough for me. Played a bit of the online stuff but it wasn’t really something that kept me invested in it all that long. Just going to wait for GTAVI now.

Yeah, GTA5 has been on Game Pass on/off so this is hardly a loss to Lems and besides, GTA5 is so damn old, I don't see anyone buying it again and again.

Honestly though I am relieved to hear the new version will only $20 as I figured Rockstar would be charging $60 or $70 for it.

Not quite clear if the pre-discount $40 price is an upgrade price or stand-alone game price. Will the discount price just apply to those upgrading or will it be the same regardless?

Unless the upgrade is bringing no pixel level role playing to the game what's the point? users (on PC) have created a game with value and some level of depth, the console experience remains a playground for children with their parents credit card.

Cow threads have really been depressing of lately, they have no real advantage to hold over Xbox or Pc gamers head but the level of straw grasping on this forum has become laughably sad. As a lem I can admit SW was much more entertaining when cows actually had something decent to brag about.

Downloaded this on PS5 today and it looks amazing!

59 seconds to load on the Series X but ~6 seconds to load with Quick Resume.😐
