GT Sport "Split" screen.

I mean... it effectively uses half of the screen.

Honestly last gen I did not have a strong preference between Forza and Gran Turismo but this would not bode well with me at all.

Black bars in split-screen. Sony keeps finding ways to make their games more cinematic.

Looks like it is done to keep each screen with a 16:9 aspect ratio.

Playing racing games split screen sucks anyway. This is not that big of a deal.

Back in the 1990's developers could fit four players onto a 17" screen. Now developers can't even fit two properly onto a 60" screen.

Does the single player have those awesome cinematic black bars as well?

My tv can take split screen and make it full screen for each player using a pair of cheap glasses. Not sure how that'd work with this style.

I don't see the problem. It is displaying all the important information professional drivers require, seems like a great choice and shows that GT Sport is not only the definitive racer, but also a fantastic tool for professionals.

You don't need this stuff on Flopza because of drive assist steering your car and changing gears for you.

I'm doing readers a service, so that any one uninformed of the flop that is Flopza don't accidentally buy it thinking it is a good substitute for GT Sport.

No you are misinforming people at best. You probably don't even know what all the information on GT's hud means, which includes what assists they are using and transmission. Ironic.

Well yea. There's a reason why split-screen is practically dead. Except for low demanding games. Split screens take up a lot of additional resources. At a time where every ounce of power must be utilized, to meet today's growing gaming standards. More so since GT Sport aims to be relevant in the competitive eSports scene.

Its amazing enough that PD even bothered to put in split screen. Given that GT Sport is practically useless without internet access and a PS Plus subscription.
