Greg Miller is gonna spoil MGSV for all of us

The guy is gonna stream the game 2 weeks before release, which mean that to avoid spoilers of the game you'll have to avoid using the internets for 2 weeks. This gonna be a bumpy ride man.

This is one occasion where I feel lets plays can be damaging. BEFORE a game is released? REALLY? And then the jerks will start posting spoilers everywhere even in places you don't expect just because they want to ruin it for people.

Well I've done a great job of avoiding Greg Miller to this point so I should be ok. He does a lot of good things for his fans but I can't stand the guy.

He wont spoil it for me, i dont watch his stuff. Ill be watching Gametrailers. And Gamespot of course.

Yeah, the fear is there, sure. but that is the way it is with pretty much everything. if it is a MGS article or thread, just dont click it. pretty sure if someone is blatantly discussing spoilers in an inappropriate topic, they will get banned or deleted pretty quick. its just something i'm not new to, but have successfully avoided. i wasnt planning n watching any of it anyway. anyway, my point is that doesn't mean we call the guy names. Not for that... and not for something that really isn't his fault. Konami has an embargo on footage. He isnt the only one with gameplay ready to go, i'll bet you that.

But trolls will watch and then start posting shit everywhere. I'm going to stay off all social media and forums. Stick only to reading news stories and watching porn hub...I mean youtube. Watching you tube.

@Bread_or_Decide: As someone who has been a victim of spoiler trolls(not just for games, but movies also) in the past, I know what you mean. You especially have to avoid any site where random users can put comments, and that definitely includes forums like this.

That's not all, even by doing that you may encounter spoiler trolls while gaming online if you voice chat with random people. Doesn't the Internet bring out the best in people?

8 hours and only 5% completion, goddamn

Yeah one of the guys at the recent Japanese "boot camp" played for 30 hours with 27% completion. It seems everyone who plays the game comes away with a similar ratio. The one guy at the boot camp who managed to beat it did so in 40 hours, but he said it was a very rushed 40 hours, had to skip a lot of content.

Game is massive bro. Though I'm sure everything after 50% is going to be S-ranking missions, completing trials, maxing items, weapons, units, etc.. bunch of filler stuff.

That's fine with me though. 40 hour main game and an additional 60+ hours to max everything out? Even if the side content is bland, the gameplay is so good I'll still enjoy it.

Yeah man, I'll definitely be spending that much time on the single player alone. I want to 100% the game and then there is the boat load of exploring and replay value.

And then of course there is the FOB invasion/defense mode and then MGO coming coming later.

This is really the only game I'm going to need for a while. Probably going to buy Mario Maker to mess around with on the side, but that's about it for the rest of the year.

Where in the rules is it stated that a spoiler is a ban-worthy offense? In ask the mods it only says "frowned upon". I just want to know if there is a rule list I'm unaware of.
