Sometimes its more about the execution and the exclusives.

That thing looks cumbersome as hell. The Switch was always more than BOTW and Odysee , the Joy cons are fantastic compared to any other portable device I have ever used.

im not thrilled with the choice in SOC. its a gaming device with a strong CPU and a crap GPU. i wonder if AMD have anything more suitable.

the controller/keyboard layout is also not great. a slide out keyboard would have been nicer and allowed for a better placement of the gaming controls.

i like the idea but not the execution. i think the smachZ (please dont be a scam) is a much better execution, on paper at least, of the portable gaming PC idea.

i mean with something like this i would be booting straight into steam big picture mode. i wouldnt want to see the windows desktop.

Switch has been successful (and will continue to be) because it has a "traditional" GPU setup that makes development a breeze and makes 3rd parties happy since they can port their engines and games over without many changes.

Also why nintendo is outpacing its traditionally long development cycles and still creating awesome games.

This device has an intel system on a chip.

It will fail like all the others.

I really doubt that the Switch is doomed simply because of this device.

Intel is working with other chip designers to make better integrated graphics chips. The current gen sucks even by their own admission.

@UssjTrunks: Intel CPU's are powerful, but they have always struggle to make a decent iGPU, now that they have Raja Koduri in their team, it may change for Intel when they release their first ever discreet GPU's and when the next I Series get better iGPU's

For those of you saying that that the switches integrated GPU is superior to M3-7Y30's, you are wrong.

The M3-7Y30 iGPU has around 73000 score on 3DMark - Ice Storm Unlimited Graphics 1280x720 offscreen, while the tegra X1s iGPU running at 1000 MHz only gets 58000, and the switch runs at only 307.2MHz so its score would be about 17-19000, its not even in the same league.

and on the cpu front its also many many times faster then the switch, and sure the M3-7Y30 would have to have a slower clock speed in a handheld format and it couldn't reach that 73k score, but it will still be a few times faster then the switch.

Look at the benchmarks before you start posting ppl.
