GoW on the PC - Less of a "Port"

Seems like the game is getting to be less and less of a port. The GS hands-on article:

Some Points:

1. Includes all of the content that appeared in the Xbox 360 game, along with all of the extra downloadable content that was released over the past year.

2. It will also ship with five new single-player chapters.

3. Battle against the giant Brumak.

4. Three new multiplayer arenas.

5. A new multiplayer game mode.

6. The latest version of the Unreal editor.

7. "The PC game is essentially running on a "new" engine, which means that much of the new content will never appear for the Xbox 360 game, we're told."

Glad to see Epic sticking to its roots.

Seriously, I came into this thread confused thinking that somehow God of War is going to the PC.

Gear of War PC = Not a Port + Upgraded Unreal Engine above and beyond 360 version + Added Content.

Epic = PC Developer first and foremost + Only Paid to make game exclusive on 360 which didn't last long.

And Epic screws over console gamers...again.

I shudder to think how much more they're going to cater to the PC audience with Unreal Tournament 3 while leaving Console gamers out in the cold.

it is really annoying that Epic decided to screw over all the early buyers, especially with the 5 new single player chapters. They could at least have a timed 360 download for them...Hat_Damage

how is it screwing early buyers? early buyers know they are paying more than someone buying it a year later would. This is common place in all markets.

Well we had it over a year earlier and had our fun with it, but maybe in like 4 years you'll get to play Halo 3 as well. V_Isle

So does this mean that this could be enough of a different game to making Gears of War on the 360 exclusive?
