God of War 2 720p on PS3 !!!!

God of War 2, even though developed for the PS2...is a must buy game for the PS3.  With its 720p Wide Screen support..the game is going to look amazing on my LCD.

Remember Zelda TP was designed for the Gamecube then, was put of the Wii with the new Wii-mote control.  I look at God of War 2 in the same reguard.  Yeah it was created for the PS2..but it has 720p support added to the game instead of a new way to control the game..

So if Zelda TP is considered next gen...then I consider God of War 2 next gen.

The difference between the two is the fact that Zelda TP was still released as a proprietary Wii game and seperately as a GameCube game. GOW 2 is not a PS3 game. It is still a PS2 game and thus is still considered a last gen game despite the 720p enhancements. Hell, there are some games on the Xbox that displayed in 1080i provided you had the proper cables.

Yeah your all right...  Its going to be pathetic playing a game that IGN calls "the best action game ever made" on my PS3 at 720p..

Call of Duty (original) still looks like crap in 2500x1500 by todays standards. This is a nice feature for PS3 owners but hyping a PS2 game for its graphics is just pathetic.

While I don't regard this as any sort of comparison to Zelda it looks like a pretty sweet game and something anyone who has a PS2 or PS3 should probably pick up.  Leave it to SW to bash a game that scores 9.7 at IGN.  What a bunch of haters.iwo4life

God of War 2 is going to sell a crapload on the PS3 as well as the PS2. This beauty on GOW2 is gonna sell like hotcakes for both consoles, even during a month of insane influx of games.volumetricCloud

you realize that it's a ps2 game (textures, polygons) that is just played at a higher resolution. if you've ever played pc games you'd know that playing counter strike or quake 2 on really high res doesn't make it look like a current game on medium settings.Ontain
