Ghost of Tsushima has a 9.3 user score after 15,000 reviews! Another Sony win.

The game currently has a 9.3 user score on Metacritic -- a score that even the most universally praised blockbusters would struggle to obtain. Based on some data crunching by Forbes, Ghost of Tsushima is actually one of the highest rated titles of the entire console generation -- and the only games that come close are ones that don't have anywhere near as many user reviews.

Indeed, Ghost has a whopping 15,192 user ratings, so the fact that it's managed to maintain such a high score is pretty much unheard of. The game has clearly struck a chord with players, and the user score reflects this.

Wow, congrats to Sony and Sucker Punch for making game lots of people love. I mean, achieving a really high user score for a Sony exclusive can be a challenge. You can have angry fanboys who are jelly trying to down vote it. I have personally played the game and beat it, and I agree, the game deserves great praise.

What do you think, SW? Is this game truly deserving of this score or is it inflated?

I fully understand a reviewer who has to rush through this game in a week and is getting tired of playing it, handing out a lower score.

But personally it took a month for me to finish this game and I absolutely loved every bit of it. I loved playing as a Samurai, I loved the artstyle and graphics, and I really enjoyed all the side characters and their troubles.

9/10 game.

That's only because unlike radicalized mad cows lems have better things to do than flood the user scores with bogus low scoring reviews. :P

I'm assuming a lot of the sheetheads and babies that review-bombed The Last of Us Part Ii negatively decided to review-bomb this game positively to prop it up againt The Last of Us Part II. They are weirdos.

With that being , I think it's a great game that deserves 80+ Metacritic and 80+ user scores.

Just finished it and got the Platinum today. Loved it. A bit slow in places and the walking/riding while talking scenes tended to drag on a bit occasionally, but other than that it was great, really glad I bought it.

Another movie game. No win.

The game is easily as good as Horizon and, Spiderman.

I will buy it if it gets NG + , no point playing a vast game with tons of grinding / upgrades to again start over from scratch lol.

Nah, one's a linear game, the other an open world game.

Both are good games and even better examples of Sony supporting their consoles until the very end.

Anyways... no way is GoT a 9.2 game and no way is that score unrelated to review bombing TLoU2. In fact it's not difficult to find 10/10 reviews praising GoT for basically not being TLoU2 which clearly indicates a correlation.

GoT is as much an 9.2 as TLoU2 is a 5.2. Ridiculous in both cases.

Sony's support for the PS4 is obviously worth praising.

Well, but I do think that GOT can be a 9.2. Especially for those people that wanted a game where you play as a Samurai or a game that is a nice artistic take on a Japanese island.

I do think TLOU 2 MC user rating is a joke. But a lot of conservative people either hate lesbians/women that don't look like average women/trans or think the game is bad because of some shocking stuff that happens at the start.

I personally am glad they went for something new with this.

End of console lifetime vs third year in. PS4 launched in 2013.

Besides, I think Switch's 2019 was a tremendously lacklustre year as well.

Just the first year was amazing with Zelda and Mario.

It plays beautifully at 30fps. Some people have let this FPS stuff get to their head. I did play on my Pro, though, which allows you to set it to performance mode.

Users Are more important than critics ill say once ill say it again.

I go with user scores on steam and metacritc over the critics.

I also use amazon reviews from users on things and usually ask people if a movie is good before I see it just regular everyday people not critics.

I always been this way same with ill take a youtuber and usually agree with them too.

I know what I don't like. *shrug*

I don't care as much about it looking pretty as I do responsiveness in an action game. Performance mode in that game is still 30fps, it just doesn't drop into the 20's as far as I understand.

We're close enough at this point.... I don't want to use my PS4 anymore.

Deserved, the game is excellent.

Made it to the second part of the island and the game has become very boring. It's the same gameplay loop that occurs in Ubisoft open world games: trade pelts for accessory pouches, collect items for various power ups, clear out enemy forts, kill bad man.

I'm also getting sick of this site, it's always praising Sony and PC and always shitting on Microsoft and Nintendo. It's no wonder a lot of posters deactivate their accounts or simply stop posting here.

As for Ghost of Sashimi (first to say that btw lol) well people were calling it AC Japan for a reason, and cows think its something new and fresh because it comes from Sony lol.
