Yeah, Nintendo doesn't make "deals". Its the one company that will sell their 3-4 year old titles for full price, no f*cks given. When was the last time did they lower WiiU's price? I can't even remember, feels like it was in early 2013 or some shit.

Calling it a Gen 7 or 8 device is just wrong. It's the most powerful handheld we have ever seen. It's also pretty silly to define a gen by power alone. If power was everything, high end PCs (like Pcs with a Titan X in them (=11 TFlops) or even 4-way-SLI them) would be Gen 11 or something.

Xbox One 1s and PS4 slim are gen 8 as they are minor hardware revisions.

The PS4 Pro is more gen 8.5 ish.

The Switch and Scorpio are entirely new hardware so they definitely could be considered a new gen.

@silversix_: They have Nintendo Selects which drops prices of games down to $20 permanently (these being usually the great games on the system). They also have sales on their eShop for games, they just don't do a lot of sales on physical games.

If the price is right I'm totally there for the Switch. Eventually I will have one regardless I've got a 9 and 7 year old and they love Nintendo 1st party games. It's appeal and price point to me will be the deciding factor on how soon I get one

I'm good on buying new hardware for now as I already own PS4/Xbox/Wii U. There is so much coming to PS4 that if I bought a switch it would just be wasted money. Coupled with the fact that Xbox is getting halo wars 2, scalebound and sea of thieves, as well as wii u getting Zelda, it would just be a waste of money. Unless someone's willing to pay me to sit home all day and play video games I don't have enough time for another platform.

Cant put a price on excellence. Yalls $200 boxes might play a bunch of games, but they dont play Zelda. Which makes thems almost worthless.

@vfighter: no Scorpio is a new entry console that is completely BC with Xbox One. Just because you can play dumbed down versions of the same game on the Xbox One doesn't mean Scorpio is just an Xbox One. In 2-3 years time Xbox One will be phased out and MS will drop a new high end box better than the Scorpio and the Scorpio will become th low end model and something better will be the high end model. This is MS's strategy moving forward and only time will tell if it's gonna be successful or fail miserably.

This place makes my head hurt. A generation has nothing to do with power. If you aren't stronger or more successful than your parents, does that mean you're not part of the next generation?

I'm looking forward to the NS. First Nintendo I've looked forward too since Gamecube. Spreaking of, it appears NS may have GC virtual console support. Very cool.
