Gears 5 beta is out

competitive multiplayer in a third-person cover shooter has never appealed to me so i'll skip this one

Only time I really enjoyed it was in Max Payne 3. It wasn't competitive for me or anything, but it was loads of fun with Max Payne's mechanics. Had some nice game modes. It even included bullet time in a nice way.

I was really having dozens of hours of fun with it. Until one day I discovered that grinding top tier players got access to one hit kill pistols and one hit kill shotguns, that ruined it for me and so I uninstalled it.

yea that is the only one I really tried and had a OK time with but I wouldn't call MP3 a cover shooter (even though it has a cover mechanic)

didn't put a ton of time into it though

you'd have to pay me 20 bux to turn on my xbox one what a PoS console

@R4gn4r0k: my favorite third person shooter multiplayer is by far The Last of Us. No other game is as tactical or team based.

Surprised this game still has fans judging from the cold online reception.

Going to be a better game than Days Trash and outsell it too.

Also so many are trying to play it the servers are having a hard time now. lol

Yeah, games like this and third person pubg just piss me off because it's relegated to camping behind walls.

It's on of MS biggest franchises, and Days Gone is a NEW IP. For your sake it had better be those things you're hyping it to be (even though we'll never know the true sales #)

And lol at Xbox servers having trouble with this...isn't that where you xbox fans claim to be doing all your gaming next gen, in the clouds thru MS "servers"?

Having trouble with one game in beta doesn't make that sound too promising.

It is on Steam so if you count those sales it might. I know though more people will play Gears 5 because of Gamepass than DG.

It is because a lot of people are using gamepass to try Gears 5 out.

Didn't get to sign up for Gears 5 beta on PC, so I don't have a code to test it out but then again, I played all the Gears series anyways, so I know what to expect from a Gears game what & how it plays already.

Tried getting into a match with no luck. And it's not because the servers are getting slammed. There are fewer than 9K people watching on Twitch right now. There are more people watching Dead by Daylight and Hearthstone...

Where did I hype anything? Self owned again! Just pointing out that your lord and savior will be using those servers soon enough. :P

You honestly think Betas help, when we have seen Fallout 76 and Anthem having them and still be shit on release?

Come on man. That has nothing to do with having a beta test. Those games were just shit. Gears may be shit also, but we will soon find out.

Red Dead online also had issues on release. Granted they did it really weird but it still had issues.

I was looking forward to this then for some reason, the aiming was inverted and I couldn't work out how to change this. No Gears of War prior to this had this bs.
