Gamespot's 8 most anticipated games of 2021!

• Halo Infinite

This is a pretty good list, although I don't think I would put a remaster collection as one of my top games of 2021 lol. Also not sure about the quality of Gotham Knights and Hogwarts Legacy. But hey, they might end up being good. Thoughts, SW? Do any of these games interest you? I'm most interested in Mass Effect, R&C, Back 4 Blood, RE 8, GoW, and maybe Halo if it turns out to be good. They also snubbed Horizon 2 but that's ok lol.

I feel very whiny, but the only one on the list I’m really interested in is GoW. The Mass Effect trilogy I’ve played twice, love it, but won’t do it all again. Gotham Knights looked like it took the Arkham franchise in a horrendous direction.

My biggest issue with the list though is the omission of Horizon: Forbidden West. I just can’t wait to see what they will do with the sequel to one of the best new IPs last gen. It has so much potential!

Me too 😅. Would be really suprise if both of them released 2021. Probably used to pad the modest launch lineup, only to get conveniently delayed....

Looks like Sony dominates 2021 as ps5 is premium entertainment. Halo infinite will be the biggest flop of the year, mark my words.

Pffft, Skyrim has nothing on BotW. I've tried completing Skyrim on my PC, on my PRO and on my Switch and just couldn't do it. The only version I haven't tried is the VR version and as much as I love VR, I think I'm going to pass.

I'm sure Ratchet will be enjoyable but there have been so many of them that it's hard to get excited about a new one.

Nothing else on my radar that I can think of. Would like to see more on Platinum games - Babylon's Fall or w/e. Hopefully it's not another Scalebound.

Yeah I know its your list thats why asked what your reason for putting it on a most hype list when 99% of the world said it looked awful. Is that too much ask? Everyone else is saying it didn't show well so me and probably everyone else is curious why its on your list its just human nature to want to know why someone likes something everyone hates.

Michel Ancel got "retired" by Ubisoft after multiple accusations of harboring a hostile and toxic work environment. Allegedly, the game is still in production, but that might just be Ubisoft trying to save face.

Yeah, add The Settlers to that as well. haven't heard diddly about either of those games, both of which I am looking forward to.

On top of my head what I'm looking forward to that's coming out this coming year:

- Gotham Knights

But thats the only one I'm super hyped about. Your the one that put halo inf on your list and I called you out for it.

I don't have make a huge list if I'm only hyped for one game that looks decent.

Hmmm, agree with a couple on the list... I really hope Halo turns out good, otherwise that could be it for the series for me (which would be really sad considering I've been a fan since day 1). I'm also curious to see how Hogwarts Legacy turns out.

Some others I would personally add:

• Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (I know it's a re-release, but I never got to play it properly on Wii U and it looks amazing).
• Bayonetta 3 (surely 2021 will be the year!)
• Sports Story (am a massive fan of Golf Story, so this should be amazing too)
• Little Nightmares 2 (loved the first game)

My most wanted game though is the next new 3D Mario game (hopefully Odyssey 2), so hopefully we at least hear something about it in 2021.

Not a Sony fanboy, but even l am more interested in HZD 2 than some cash cow remaster from the current bioware which is nowhere near as good as Obsidian.

I played 3D World and am kinda hyped for it anyway lol. Seems like it would be great on Switch. Putting games on Switch usually makes the game better haha. Oh, and I'm with you on Bayonetta 3 dangit.

I'll take HZD over Mass Effect as well. I feel like that series is kind of like The Witcher, people love it more for the story/characters, then the actual gameplay.
