Anyone think that Gamespot has the best forums? I personally think it's alright, a lot of people here, but it has a LOT more fanboism than some other sites (from what I've herd).
it's okay, i've been to other sites which have the downfall that they have a very limited number of users (about the size of unions on gs); but in terms of variety in topics, the other sites were better
There is a small amount of great posters, such as SyluxElite, the-very-best, Foxhound_fox, HeedleGlavin, SmashBrosLegend, Jammo, Sonick54, cakeorrdeath, Panzer_Zwei, ect. It's mostly full of terrible fanboys though.
This is certainly the most active forum (IGN in a very close second) that is related to gaming, as far as I can tell. I came from the Electric Playground forums (EP is a show on TV that gets info on upcoming games, it has a branch of shows that Review games as well), and they are not active at all.A lot of those people are actually in the industry though, and work for Ubisoft, EA, and I think one worked at LucasARTS. bb.elecplay.com is the name of the site if you wanna see what I mean. Everybody knows each other in those lower populated forums though, and less people act like idiots. Overall I like Gamespot's forums the best.
No. Not to say that the forums here are bad, but there are other forums that i think are better, like 1up, NeoGaf and my personal favourite, Something Awful.
Some of the best organization and presentation seen in any board i've been in. Although sometimes the people aren't the most ... "enjoyable" the overall feel is better than say IGN or any other that i have tried.
This is the only reason i ever even visit GS. I dont care for thier reviews as much as other sites.
