I don't believe I have ever joined a console generation within at least half a year of a console launch. Anyone who knows how the game works probably wouldn't buy either system on day1.
Meh. After 8 very long years of games running on DX9 era console hardware while DX10 has come and gone for DX11, a single day longer of current-gen consoles sounds about as much fun as stabbing myself with a hot screwdriver while watching Hillary Clinton do jumping jacks naked.

It's so easy to rush out and buy a system...But with the lack of games this year it's better to pick up a Wii U this year and a PS4 next year when more games start hitting.
He raises some valid points. There really isn't a whole lot to play on either platform at the moment. With Watch Dogs being delayed, that was going to be my main reason for buying the PS4, I'm not sure if I still should.

Waiting for the real games to be announced is best. Not really into these terrible rushed launch games that are always forgotten like Ryse, Killer Instinct, and Knack. I'll get a PS4 in a year or two and enjoy the true next gen console.
It has to be about exclusives in this generation. Because the Oculus Rift will make the extra triangles on the new consoles feel old in the blink of an eye.

Launches suck. There's always hype but it takes awhile for consoles to hit their sweet spot. Neither console has a "must have" exclusive. Unless you've just got money just burning in your pocket it is wise to wait.
