Gamespot noticed Thymesia (PC) - If Platinum Games make Dark Souls + DMC badassery

Saw this on Gamespot facebook page.

Not the dev, came across this on facebook. It's a third-person action role-playing game with a dynamic combat system. It is called Thymesia for now and is still in early development for PC so no release date. They're a 6-person team from Taiwan. So far western developers were coached by only Japanese devs on how to do proper hack n slash. Now it seems like they will be coached by the entire upcoming Asian game industry.

Reminds me Sekiro as it's the last From game I've played.

man, as someone who likes to play DS with heavy armor, a big-ass tower shield and pole-arms, or with slow-swinging two-handers, all the various Souls-likes are really not catering to my playstyle. I don't have the reflexes for these fast-paced and punishing action games.

I'll keep an eye on this but after playing Sekiro i'm wary of anything that seems like a 'faster' Dark Souls type game with parrying and whatnot.

I think it is possibly based off of Serpico's Holy Iron Chain armor from Berserk.

The Soulsborne series takes heavy inspiration from Berserk so I wouldn't be surprised if this game did as well. I mean cmon that big guy he was fighting is nearly a complete copy of Berserker Armor Guts. All he needs is a wolf like helmet and you got him.
