Uncharted 2. It's actually fine in the real world. It's just here in SW where it gets a lot of hate.
Call of Duty, the best FPS i have played, love it so much and i'll keep buying the series every year.. sadly people ( on the internet ) are blinded and dont see how good it is so they hate on it to increase their self confidence or something :P

You can't help but hate something that is tossed in your face by cows several times per day for a year.
I dunno. The fanboi stuff just goes through my left ear and out the right. The game itself is okay though.

Uncharted 1 is my favorite game this generation. BlabadonI'm currently replaying it. It is the most critically underrated game this gen, for sure. Also, the "movie" tag that people like to attach to it is unwarranted--there's tons of gameplay in the series.
Far Cry 2, outside of Gamespot I never met anyone that played it and hated it (most of my buddies enjoyed it, even if they couldn't finish it or hated its problems), but on the internet it gets a lot of hate. I thought it was miles above some other FPS games that came out that year (like World at War), it was amazingly immersive and beautiful and just gave this sense of freedom in how you went about your missions and the game, giving you full control of the arsenal you got, the way you took missions, the people you brought along or allied with, etc.
I guess that's not a major feat (Fallout: New Vegas gives you way more freedom as do many other open world games and RPG's), but for a full on FPS action game it was great, and unlike Fallout and many other games it put immersion first. It might have been detrimental to make fast travel so difficult to use, forcing you to drive everywhere, and some people might have hated the malaria and weapon jamming, but I thought it added to the immersion and realism of the game, and its a shame they couldn't have ditched the weak multiplayer to add in some more customization options and variety in missions and enemies (though the map creator was neat).
So yeah, I really enjoyed Far Cry 2, and if nothing else I wish other games would take a page from it in friendly interface, unobtrusive HUD and pure immersion focus that was almost unbroken. I also think more games need weapon jamming, especially when so many "realistic games" let you drag an M16 through dirt and mud and fire hundreds of rounds without an issue.

Farcry 2 would be one of my favorite games this generation if it weren't for the respawning gurards at the several posts, it just gets so tiring having to deal with them so often.

oh god that gif has me in stitches If you're curious of where that's from. It's from this amusing video..People really don't understand what "most people" means. It does not mean a vocal minority on the internet that hate on a popular game/series.
But anyway, mine has to be I Wanna Be The Guy. That is a game that has a very, very small target audience. Most people that play it are going to despise it. But I just happen to be in that tiny target audience, and it's honestly one of my favourite games of all time.
They may not hate but perhaps just don't like...
Crackdown
Halo Wars
VP's
Too Human
That should do for now. :P
I wouldnt say people hate these games, probably these are not mentioned much or maybe didnt sell loads..
Army of Two games
Sega Rally
Resistance series
ARMA series
Oh my god,we agree on some things :P.I feel Final Fantasy XIII has gotten better as it's gone along.I'm now on Chapter 9 and it's getting better :).[QUOTE="Michael0134567"][QUOTE="finalstar2007"]
Agreed with this.. FFXIII-2 also a great game that many people seem to hate or not interested in, i played that game till i got the platinum, it was that fun
finalstar2007
wait till you play FFXIII-2.. that game was a masterpiece, it had the perfect story, perfect setting, perfect soundtrack, perfect trophies, perfect battle system and list goes.. my personal RPG Of The Year ( Tales of Graces F comes right after it )
Well, thanks for letting me know :).I saw it for $20 a while back, but decided not to get it since I still haven't beaten the first one and I wanted to get something that I could play without having to wait. This is just based off my impressions from around here, not everyone in existence. Halo: Reach Don't recall much talk about the game in general since it came out. I could be wrong, but I do recall a fair bit of disappointment regarding the campaign and multiplayer. Me on the other hand... well, I adore the game. It was, to me, a significant step up from H3, in pretty much every way (can't comment on the MP though). All the everything was just better... the guns, the enemies (though I do miss the high-pitched Grunt voices) the vehicles, the level design... everything is just tighter, significantly more detailed and absolutely beautiful to look at. It defines what a "serious" game can look like in a saturated, colorful world, without having to resort to dull color and jam splatter. The story is pretty run of the mill, but they do a good job setting the mood and selling it. To the point of making me want to read the novel. NIER There are a lot of people who enjoyed it, but on the whole it was not well-received. I thought it was amazing, and had a story that finally showed us that video games can have a quality narrative. It had issues, and oversights (text adventure instead of cutscenes or basic dialogue? lazy...) but was an exceptional game nonetheless. I really found myself attached to all the characters, and still remember them, despite playing many games since. Driver: San Francisco Not so much people hated it, so much as they DIDN'T F*CKING PLAY IT. The Driver series comes back with a huge bang, and nobody really notices. The game (despite quirks of no night or weather driving) was outstanding in terms of design and execution. This is the kind of game people should be begging developers to make more of... not the same game they've played three times in the same series already. Something that reinvents not only the genre, but the series. And it gets ignored to the point of probably being commercially unsuccessful. Shameful.Zeviander
A million times this. Most people who complain about a lack of imagination in games these days I can guarantee don't have Driver San Francisco in their collection.
