Games that you think deserve a remake.

A lot of people think that there are too many remaster/remakes on the market nowadays, and I have to say that I agree. A few are really good though. REmake was excellent, so was SotC. And any game remade in VR, like Skyrim, is a-okay in my book, as it entirely changes the game, making it a new experience altogether. I know some of you might not agree on these points, or these games, rather, but hey, that's cool. We've all got opinions, right?

Personally, off the top of my head, I'd have to say Alpha Protocol. The game has a seriously complex storyline, as well as interesting branching conversation patterns, from what I can remember (played it a long time ago), along with great characters/world/setting/etc. Tons of awesome intrigue. But the gameplay was a bit underwhelming. Mainly the controls were pretty buggy. And the shooting...my gosh...the shooting. A remake is def in order. Or a sequel. Or both.

Anyway. So what's your opinion, SW? What game(s) do you think deserves a remake (or remaster)?

Chrono Trigger. I'd love to see it remade in the style of that new Octopath game.

It's the best JRPG ever made.

Vampire Bloodlines, Midwinter, two amazing games way ahead of their time. Chances are good though that any attempt to recreate the magic would result in a complete **** up so I'm okay with it never happening.

Panzer Dragoon Saga and Skies of Arcadia. The gameplay for both are timeless, so just give them graphical facelifts, and remakes would be amazing.

Star Wars KOTOR

I only care for remakes in vr ports, or actually just vr ports. I hope assassins creed wil get one.

Legend of Dragoon! Honestly, any old Playstation 1 title from back in the day...lol. Twisted Metal, a new Socom, Legacy of Kain, etc. Mmmm good times.

@commander: Yeah, VR makes everything better for sure. As for AC, I seriously can't stand those games, but I'd be all over a VR port.

Good one. Yeah, Tenchu could definitely benefit from a remake. One of the best stealth games ever.

Aww man, I totally forgot about Black. I played that game on Xbox many years ago, I always thought it was ahead of it's time due to how the gun sound was epic and the graphics at the time was so good, Black is indeed such an underrated game, it does need a remastered.

Wouldn't mind a GoW meets Max Payne/Stranglehold reboot of BloodRayne. Bring back Laura Bailey as the voice actress, especially after Bethesda put her in the role of a sweet and friendly vampire in Skyrim.

Any good game from the 6th, 5th or 4th gen, please.

One that comes to mind is remaking GTA San Andreas using the GTA V engine, with X/Pro enhancements.

It would be nice if there is a remake of MS Combat Flight Simulator 2: Pacific Theater (2000). Actually, I would like Microshit to take back the Windows 10 "update" that made the original game quit working.

The game was running fine back in 2014. I don't run the game often. But, I occasionally get the urge to play it.

If you asked me this question months ago I would have mentioned Soul Calibur but it seems the NamcoBandai heard my prayers already and Soul Calibur 1 is being remade in SC6.

At this point I'd be fine if Panzer Dragoon Orta got an enhanced BC release on the XB1.

Tetrisphere 64 would be great, but the company that made it went out of business, Nintendo only published it, maybe Nintendo has the ability to remake it but even if they did, considering the company that once held the rights is a liquidation holding company now (guessing due to bankruptcy) there could be a problem remaking it or publishing it without a negotiation on royalties. Or maybe that's not even an issue, and Nintendo is just being Nintendo, wouldn't surprise me...

I'd rather a full remake to bring Toriyama's character art to life like they did with Dragonball FighterZ, but with the same world-building as another anime-style JRPG, Ni No Kuni. Just imagine them using dynamic anime angles when they use their techs like they do with certain moves in DBFZ.

I've been wanting to play Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines, but it's just too broken. I'd welcome a remake of that. It's not like someone else is making a worthy vampire game.

The first Silent Hill....... In the style of PT...

Soldier of Fortune games. Those games were awesome. I would love to see them in a modern engine and see how far they push the dismemberment and gib tech.

I was about to say Golden Axe, but they already remade it, and it was awful. About the only good thing about it is the redone OST with Wildlands sounding straight out of a Basil Poledouris Conan movie. Aside from playing like shit, they somehow managed to make it look significantly worse than a pre-90's game.

Sega has a shit ton of great IPs they sit on, but i'm not sure they could be trusted to do any of them justice.

Toy Commander from Dreamcast....... Can only imagine how good a modern version would be with proper multiplayer.

Or Power Stone 2.... also would be epic on a modern console with proper online.

@quadknight: There actually is a new Virtual On for this gen, the 5th game in the series no less, but unfortunately it's some sort of crossover title with an anime called Index. Supposedly doing this was the only way they could get a new game greenlit since sales were declining for this already niche series.

But yeah, the first game will always be my favorite. I love me some Fei-Yen.

I would like to see the original DKC saga with a new look.

Commandos 2: Men of Courage is an old game that still looks good, but It would be great to see a remake. It is a hell of a game!

Socom 2 or a real sequel.

Id love to see a remake in the same vein as the System Shock remake for the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series.

Same goes for AVP and AVP2, keep the game as much like the original as possible but update the engine, graphics, physics etc.
