How can it be different if the Xbox gets no exclusives anymore? Everyone went over this in your last thread...

I'm just pointing out the facts from a reputable media outlet. It seems like the reasons to buy an Xbox One are dwindling.

They had 3 exclusives release last year whether you enjoyed them or not is debatable. The facts are that red dead 2 was better than any of them.

Playing Forza Horizon 4 myself on my Xbox One and I’m having a great time with it. Seems like a good choice for GotY to me.

Xbox had the best versions of all the top 3rd party games on x1x, a year of pubg more than PS4, the best racing game, great Indies, 4k remasters of games (at no extra cost), statistically better online, BC, features like play anywhere and gamepass, more true 4k Games, The only place to watch true 4k Media, argueably better controllers and aesthetics.

PS4 had gow and Spiderman.

PC had .... Well, I'm not sure really.

Guess you didn't get the memo that Microsoft releases all 1st party games on PC and Xbox so your point is dumb as shit.

It's dumb that the Xbox's game of the year is a multiplat? Seems like a fact to me. Is the concept of gravity or pi also dumb?

Will it be different next year? Like will MS create exclusives for Xbox only? I really hope not.

I mean... really you can play GoW on two different consoles too. PS4 and PS4.5. It's a Sony exclusive.

Are exclusives finally done for? We can only hope so.

Exclusives promote poor game design and prevent future-proofing of gaming experiences. A show piece for the current hardware? Sure. But a few years from now hardware will be better and we'll be relying on these companies to remaster the game and resell it to us in order to take advantage of it.

Exclusives are the reason we have dumb-shit programming practices like locking animations to frame rates. No reason to think ahead if you know the hardware doesn't change.

I think we're almost there. Games have come a long way since last gen.

FH4 and GoW are both great games.

There's some things that PC does better, but for someone like me who likes mp gaming, all the cheaters make it not worth the considerable investment if I want to build a rig that matches performance and components of my x1x.

No what is dumb is to bring up a fact that everyone already knows. Microsoft does not create traditional exclusives anymore and they have no true exclusive. So you are preaching about something everyone already knows about so who cares?

There are millions of PC's that play better version of multi-plats than Xbox One X, so the point of most don't is irrelevant, as if there is even one PC that does it better than factually the best version is not on that console(Xbox One X ) and two it does not take that much money or that great of a PC to out do an Xbox One X.

@sealionact: 1) There are very few exceptions of multiplats not on pc, but the open nature of the system makes the vast majority that are on pc better. 5) What extra cost? You can mod games and manually set resolutions 6) Downdetector? Online services are very reliable these days, that's stretching it. Steam being better is admittedly my opinion but you do get better sales and don't need to pay a cent for multiplayer access.

7) How is PC BC hit and miss? I've had no problems playing classic games and if there are problems then there's almost always a solution. The PC BC library dwarfs Xbox and playstation. Sony would be insane not to put BC because consumers won't abandon their digital libraries, console architectures are more like pc, and they'd be conceding a huge selling point to Microsoft. You can choose not to believe me, but in my eyes PS5 BC is as close to unofficially confirmed as can be.

Play anywhere and game pass are on pc (with all future games too). Then don't use Netflix and buy 4k drive or download uncompressed 4k movies. To your last point: What cheaters? I play a good deal of multiplayer and I haven't seen any. I agree about the kb/m thing though.

@Xabiss: I'm not preaching, just reporting the news my man. It's no coincidence that the multi-GOTY behemoth GoW can only be played on PS4

I agree especially if PCs running Linux cannot play it (FH4) either.

Why do you guys keep comparing PC to xbox? Many of us console gamers don't like gaming on PC and don't consider it an option. Of course a PC can perform a lot better than xbox if you pay a lot more, but it is not a console and it is not as convenient as a console. The real competitor to xbox is Playstation. The choice here is basically between more exclusives or better multiplats. Personally I want both so I bought both a PS4 and an xbox one x.

Individually and briefly... Psnow has proven to be a big earner for Sony. Think we can assume that less people will subscribe if they have access to ps4 Games at No extra cost, which is why I think Sony have a decision to make....ms already made the decision this gen.

I mean hit and miss because some older games simply don't run .... Or run poorly... on every pc. Was trying to get Gettysburg to run last month, and I gave up after hours of trawling forums.

Cheaters/hackers are widespread on PC, but of course your experience may vary. Whenever I came up against an incredibly good player, I couldn't help but wonder if he was using a hack...when I put played BF1 and saw a player using a flying hack, that was the final straw. Didn't upgrade my already aging pc in favour of an x1x and more or less got everything I need. There's literally hundreds of thousands of pc players getting banned on a monthly basis, so cheaters are there even if you haven't met them.

@sealionact: Yes SoC was a Major hit scoring both 9.0 on metacritic and gamespot.

Half ass remasters are one thing but remakes actually take effort.

Agreed. And why do people try to discredit remakes by calling them remasters like people don't easily know the difference. Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, Shenmue, and that Onimusha cashgrab. Remasters. Ratchet & Clank, Crash Bandicoot N' Sane Trilogy, and Shadow of the Colossus. Remakes.

I'm really happy MS puts their games on PC and xOne. I'd wish Sony (and Ps-only devs) would do the same so I can get rid of the Ps4 as well.

@blackhairedhero: Yeah, I know. Thing is, remakes and remasters cost extra on PS4, even if you've already paid for them on ps2 or PS3......they're no extra charge on Xbox.

Asking people to abandon all of their already bought PS4 games for a PS Now subscription when the competition allows for full BC seems like a very poor business decision. PS Now can be its own separate service like game pass, it's more like a bundled access to a bunch of games than access to games you already bought.

Even if you account for the minority of games that might not run well, the rest of the BC lineup still eclipses other offerings.

Sealion, if cheaters and hackers were so widespread on PC then it would be a major/vocal issue in both critical reviews and common people. I know a lot of pc gamers and I've played a lot of online pc games, it's not just me getting lucky. It is most definitely not widespread, there are a lot of anticheat services in games.

@ahmedkhan1994: Well at least it's good that Microsoft is accepting 3rd place with open arms. If you can't beat PC, just 'merge' with it. If you can't beat PS4, maybe a combined pc/xb1 lineup will work?

No! Play anywhere was legit MS signing xbox's death certificate. Its only a matter of time till xbox is phased out and becomes a pre built PC (which it already is). Sony is smart enough to know the demand that exclusives create...

I also own a 3ds and enjoy the switch :). Enjoyed halo on Xbox 360 but now it's coming to pc too. Haven't touched my PS4 since Spiderman. No bias, don't let that distract you from the fact that Xbox One has no quality exclusives.

Really? You're just going to have to get used to the fact that MSFT doesn't think WINDOWS belongs to anyone but them. FH4 isn't on Linux PC
