Future FPS lineup looks really good for a first time in long time

was browsing through youtube and found this gamingbolt video. and it appears that FPS lineup looks really strong.

Lets analyze it

• Doom Eternal looks perfect. no need to say more.
• Ready or not looks like best tactical FPS since raven shield. we never got this type of tactical FPS since 2 decades almost.
• System shock remake footage they revealed was incredibly. looks alot like system shock 2 or even better. if it work. it can be one of the best game ever made.
• System shock 3 just teased although im worried about it but its in very early phrase.
• Rage 2 looks fantastic and hold the gap to fill until Doom Eternal comes out.
• Halo Infinite is wait and see. i was mildly interested when they said its engine is PC design engine rather than xbox and its Halo reboot. could be first good Halo game.
• Witchfire again looks fantastic. old school fast paced action FPS.
• STALKER 2 is missing in this video although due to not a single footage but it will own every single FPS and that will also include my beloved Doom Eternal

watching this video it make me realize that how bad past few year FPS were after Doom 2016 and how amazing this line up looks like.

and also Metro Exodus is great start of 2019. quickly become one of my fav game this gen.

so my friends, lets discuss shall we?

Don't forget the new game from L4D devs.

But i don't think there have been a lack of quality FPS lately. This gen offers so much more diversity than past ones, that it may give that impression.

2018 doesnot have a single good FPS. 2017 only has Prey which was flawed. come on my friend

Let's see, for me it's:

• Halo: Master Chief Collection coming to Steam
• Doom: Eternal
• The Outer Worlds
• Cyberpunk 2077 (assuming it makes it 2019)

but i dont hate people back. instead i just ignore them.

i dont think outer worlds and cyberpunk can be count as FPS. they are mostly RPGs with bulletsponges. System shock is immersive sim and can be regard as FPS thought.

I think the last decent FPS was DOOM. Before that perhaps Counter Strike Global Offensive if you can look passed it's simple looking design.

but Rage 2 coming out in next 2 month.

Was interested until it tries to be Mad Max game so I'll wait for a sale on this one.

That's because people always pretend that mainstream AAAs are all we have available, yet, some of the best games come from smaller teams these days: Mothergunship, Firewall Zero Hour, Farpoint, Shadow Warrior 2, Super Hot, etc, to name a few good (and some unique) FPSs from the last 2 years.

No hate. Just calling a spade a spade.

Well I'm looking forward to playing every Halo game on PC.

We just had Metro and that is one of my personal favourites of the year thus far.

and all of them suck. none of them are 2018 games.

You said 2018 and 2017, but even if you haven't, Mothergunship and FZH are actually 2018 games. And no, none of them suck, which is why they are in my post.

not into some F2P multiplayer games and from what i have seen mothergunship is not really FPS but looks like some mech game.

@ghosts4ever: None of those is F2P. Mothergunship is actually a classic singleplayer FPS (like Doom or Quake). The only difference is the fact it's an indie game, which makes it invisible to many people.

FPS hs basically always been the healthiest genre for a coule decades now I t don't know if it was really bad or anything.

DOOM looks really great as usual.

Rage 2 could be good.

Respawn has a new FPS IP launching this year which could be promising.

System Shock has never been a good FPS in gameplay, so I'll wait to see how 3 turns out.

But tomorrow, a new FPS will be announced/teased/demoed behind closed doors and it will revolutionize FPS games for the first time in decades. I hear it rhymes with Laugh Knife.

Anyway I think STalker 2 will be the big hit for some reason.

Only interested in doom and halo infinite. Maybe rage 2.

I guess it does look okay for sp fps. I do hole halo i has decent sp.
