This is from the Demon's Souls info source, so it appears that this is indeed a direct sequel since this is the last soul you get when you beat Demon's Souls.

He is wrong and yes, Demons Souls was by far better, story, lore, atmosphere, depth (soul/world tendency system) even combat was perfect in the original Souls project.

He probably never even played Demons Souls and is most likely just a bandwagon jumper who played Dark Souls after it went to PC and got heavy praise off of the ground work laid from Demon's Souls original greatness.

I'll be a little disappointed if this game isn't set in Demon's Souls universe, but at the same time it's just so beautiful looking I don't care either way.

Come on now. Hermits hyped Dark Souls 2 to absurd levels and we find out the real talent at From Software has been making a PS4 exclusive. The port begging from hermits on Gaf was hilarious. Easy solution to this is buy a PS4 and I think the hardcore fans will do just that.

Damn It ! I've been so busy making fun of Dark Souls that I've missed the obvious....

Dark Souls 2 was released a short while back.... From Software can still profit from it... Even if they were working on Demon Souls 4 (Because its the 4th Souls game) then its in their best interest not to announce it... Afterall even Dark Souls' sales is made mostly from PS3 users.

You know what this could be ? DLC. Maybe the DLC will be related to Demon Souls somehow. I don't know if any of what I said is likely but I do know anouncing any Souls game so soon is just bad business.

and yeah i laugh everytime someone says PS4 has no games because its a system that just came out, a system that didnt even have its first E3 yet, a system made by Sony which are known for having some of the best gaming studios out there, i think everyone forgot how things turned up for the PS1, PS2, PS3 and PSP as they all started up slow but finished with a huge library of games.

the PS4 ( which is starting very strong ) will be no different.

DLC with shotguns? really? just look at the screenshots... it's a different beast entirely. well yes, it's third-person but it's definetly no DS2 DLC...

might even be Dark Souls 3. set in different era would be a cool change. if the shotgun works like the crossbow in the previous ones, it doesn't really make a huge difference.

I'm a fan of all 3 souls game but Dark souls is the better franchise. Demons souls lacks the lore and story that dark souls had. Plus the interconnected world is way better then the level select demon had.

W.e it is tho, i hope they improve the graphics more then anything. From the pics it doesnt look that much better. I hope thats a early build.

a lot of people like the Souls games so its only natural that everyone are getting excited besides this could be the sequel to the game that started the popularity of the Souls games.

If this is Demons Soul then I'm very excited. I've always wanted a true next gen Demons/Dark Soul game.

This is straight from Demon's Souls and the Beast's Demon's Soul is the last soul you get when you beat Demon's Souls. It has nothing to do with Dark Souls, it is straight from Demon's souls lore. You can stop trying to call it Dark Souls 3 now lol the damage control from you non-PS4 owners is hilarious. Demon's Souls and Dark Souls are from two different universes.

Damage controllers are trying to call this Dark Souls 3 to make the suggestion that it might go multiplat one day since everyone knows that Demon's Souls is a Sony playstation exclusive franchise. I have already smashed that idea with my earlier post and now this one.

It's funny to see damage controlling non PS4 owners making up arguments that souls games are bad now, no one wants it (as if they could play it anyway without owning a PS4 anyway) or that it must be Dark Souls even though Demon's Souls was the original game made between Sony and From and the title confirms this is directly from the Demon's Souls universe.

Looking like the forums will run red with bloody tears producing a new level of butthurt never seen on the forums before come this years E3, it has already begun.

Demon's Souls had the best atmosphere,story and level design, but the gameplay and mechanics were greatly improved in the next 2 dark souls games.

Demon's Souls was also the easiest out of the 3 Souls games.

I would welcome a Demon's Souls 2, especially if Miyazaki is behind it, but this "project beast" doesn't look like it. We still know nothing about it though, so the best thing we can do is wait.
