No idea. Let's start narrowing it down. It definitely won't be a DS or PSP game, and the upcoming Wii line-up is laughable at best....
That leaves us with PS3, PC, and 360.
Resident Evil 5: I don't know about this one. RE4 was a radical change for the series, but this seems like more of the same. The gameplay just doesn't look as new and interesting as RE 4 did back in 2005 when it won GOTY at a lot of places.
Alan Wake: It has incredible graphics and the idea of Silent Hill meets GTA is very exciting, but we just don't know much else about the game. We don't know if the gameplay is good or bad, we don't even know if the damn thing will ever come out, or at least if it'll come out next year. We're hyping this game based on it's graphics and gameplay concept alone, when we really have no evidence that it will be "great".
Final Fantasy XIII: I don't think so. Seems like another sequel that just isn't doing enough new things to set it apart from the others. It'll do good, but not GOTY-good.
God Of War 3: Not sure. Probably stands a chance.
Diablo 3: I don't know. Seems like another Fallout 3 situation. Not similar enough to the original games. There might be a chance though.e
Starcraft II: Also might have a chance. But for some reason I just can't see an RTS getting GOTY. It'd have to be hugely successful like the first one was.
I really can't make a guess here at what will get GOTY. There might be some suprise new game or suprise sequel that comes out (wasn't Gears 2 only announced in 2008?) and gets super-great reviews and gets GOTY.
