I admire polyphony digital dedication to details. Just look at january update, the 8 new cars all stunning as heck. Especially love porshe 356 interior look, the TVR Tuscan is really amazing detail wise too. I never knew the TVR brand even existed but it looks sexy

I loved GT3 on my ps2. But FH3 has been my go to this gen (despite the f*cking thing crashing all the time and the hordes of complaints about this in the Forza forums still going unaddressed).

FH4 seems like the best racing game this gen - but I'm hesitant to buy it after the shitty experience with crashes in FH3. But the demo has never crashed on me...

I will be surprised if that happens anytime soon. The series has slowly become one of the key esport sim in the motorsport world. They are going to keep focusing on that. There is going to be a big season update focusing on the new GTS season. PD is gonna need a bigger team or someone else will have to make GT7.

looks like you have issues with math or grossly failing to account for what the player count is for each game's audience. Forza Horizon 4 was a day 1 PC release along with Xbox One.

PS4 = 90 Million

Xbox = 40 Million + PC = 200 Million: Total 240 Million.

So it's actually Forza Horizon 4 240 Million vs GT Spots 90 Million.

There is more than double the userbase for Forza Horizon 4 as there is for GT Sport. Futhermore, GT Sport numbers are SALES and Forza Horizon 4's are just player count which could include gamepass and are in no way a 1 to 1 equal to actual dedicated purchases of the game.

Basically Forza Horizon 4 was only able to match GT Sports sales numbers with a non-sale player count figure from a user base of more than double PS4's install base.

GT Sport is great and you fanboys are missing out on an awesome game.

Crackdown 3 is genuinely shit though. Calling it a great game is a lie.

GT Sport is legitimately a great game. Its launch was bare bones but the content it had was of very high quality and now after a year and half of updates it's a fantastic racing game full of great driving and content along with VR.

That’s purely based on one’s taste though. If you like to blow stuff up and a story doesn’t matter to you, there’s fun to be had. Even reviewers who’ve scored the game low have said it can be fun at times. But is it really fair to pit an arcade shooter to a career racing sim? They have nothing to do with each other. I highly doubt you’ve even tried it so if you were trying to make a point - you failed.

GT Sport on the other hand has reviewed much poorer than its closest competitor - Forza. Again, another game you most likely haven’t played for you to accurately judge anything in the genre.

I own a gaming PC and have played Forza and many other racing sims, please don't try to lecture me on racing games when you type horse shit like that. I play all sorts of racing games and don't attach fanboyism to them. Forza is a better racing game but GT Sport is a better sim. Only reason GT Sport scored in the 70s was because it launched with almost no single player content. It eventually rectified that issue with updates, and since its core gameplay is good it's now a fantastic game. You can't fix Crackdown 3's issues and no amount of subjective "it's fun to me" fanboy delusion will ever make it a quality game, it's pure trash, and its 57 on Metacritic cements its trash status.

How do these two games compare to Mario Kart 64?

Anecdotal and taste related at best. I guarantee you I’d enjoy Crackdown 3 more than any RPG ever made. I like wacky shooters, RPGs I do not.
