China what the ****? Last place i would have picked i would have thought Europe, South America just somewhere else.

At an event at Beijing, @CarChris85 announced that China is the #2 region for Forza Horizon 3 PC sales, just behind US.

If China is number 2 that speaks volumes about how little markets outside the US care about that game.

China got a huge gaming population. You could be right but it also could mean Chinese gamer's are buying xbox games on PC..

Just goes to show how jealous PC gamers are of Xbox that they want to play our exclusives. Oh and it says a lot about the quality of Xbox One games.

Hey look at that! Without out a PC storefront that sells what used to be games exclusive to Xbox, China wouldn't have provided so many Forza sales. It's almost like they opened up a new stream of revenue they or other console makers don't have access to. I wonder if TC still think people don't but games on from the Windows store?

That or console gaming in china isn't as accessible as PC gaming, so this makes it easier to play said games.

It's posted every month in the UK as far as I'm aware.

Also China is one of the largest PC gaming countries on Earth.

@Juub1990: Forza Horizon 3 was in the top 10 in the UK charts up until like 2 months ago. And it came out in September.

Unless I missed it I haven't seen Forza Horizon 3 in any top 10 charts for a few months now.

Sure and that's in huge part due to internet cafes being very popular there. Chinese people play a lot of games like LoL, DOTA or competitive MMO's. They're not really big on Xbox games.

MS's gaming revenue numbers are just under Sony's gaming revenue numbers.

I never denied MS made money from the Windows store. I did say mobile gaming was a red herring. We know Microsoft is small player with mobile and gaming revenue is tiny.

Forza Horizon 3 is an xbox one game it was made for xbox one console. You have to download digitally off xbox live to play it digitally anyhow, there is no PC retail copy to buy. It's the xbox digital storefront.

It sold 2.5 million copies just at retail in three months. Have no clue what it sold digitally? It could have sold 5 to 6 million copies. The new DLC likely push that number higher?

Link to evidence of tiny mobile revenue?

I can't respond to every post made by someone.

We know Microsoft phones don't sell good and we know Microsoft don't make games for it's phones. And when Miocrosoft talks about revenue its xbox software they talk about and new games bought on the digital storefront's they own.

Chinese gamers are xbox gamers you need xbox live to play the game.

List those big money mobile earning games made by Microsoft then?

The AAA Games you play on the Window 10 store are xbox games. We know this because you have to download them digitally from the xbox live store on Windows 10.

Most of 6.6 billion revenue is coming from the sales of xbox products.

6.6 billion is just one year (2016) gaming revenue.

You need to stop it game released in 2009. The 100 million people who bought this game have moved on since then. If 100 million gamer's bought the game every year, only then would the point your making make sense.

There were 40 million unique players of Minecraft per month on 2016. Per year the number is definitely higher. Probably 60-80 million. If the average spending is $10 that means Minecraft alone could be taking a considerable chunk of the 6.6 billion.

Those 40 million player's could have bought their game at any time in last 8 year's. They could spend what they needed to on the game already.

Just for argument sake even though you're wrong MS sold 10$ worth of DLC to 60 million gamers in one year. That's only 600 million.

You still left with 6 billion!!!

Yes but they can still spend money in in game content considering the game keeps adding new stuff.

Maybe but we're talking here about just one game. Those 6 billion still have to account for the rest of phones, tablets, PC, 360, xbone revenues.

Those 40 million player's could have bought their game at any time in last 8 year's.

Yes but they can still spend money in in game content considering the game keeps adding new stuff.

You still left with 6 billion!!!

Maybe but we're talking here about just one game. Those 6 billion still have to account for the rest of phones, tablets, PC, 360, xbone revenues.

Yes, the revenue is coming from tablets and PC. I never said otherwise. The red herring was mobile there is no evidence they make lot money from that space.

When you buy a xbox game to play on a tablet, PC, or on xbox one. It's a xbox one game its xbox revenue.

Anyway we never agree on this so it best to leave it here for now.

Here you are making shit claims without any information backing

In Q4 2015, Microsoft's Xbox gaming revenue has reached the number 2 position after "Server products, Cloud Services" products.

From http://www.zdnet.com/article/google-microsoft-apple-where-does-the-money-come-from/

Xbox hardware is a big part of that number, but the acquisition of Mojang (maker of Minecraft) and dramatic increases in Xbox Live services and sales of games made more of a difference.

The most startling bar on that chart is the one for Windows OEM revenue. That was once Microsoft's core product. Now it's barely over 10 percent of total revenue, as cloud services and enterprise software have picked up the slack. That's an impressive transformation.

1. Xbox hardware

2. Minecraft

3. Xbox Live

4. Sales of game

Microsoft's Xbox gaming revenue has surplus the two core products such as Windows OEM and Office Commercial.

But is incorrect to affirm that that revenue comes from xbone since people can buy games on xbox stores without even owning a xbone. And considering xbone is selling like crap relatively then obviously a bunch of the revenue is coming from other places too.

@ronvalencia: You're spamming your worthless charts again that have nothing to do with the discussion taking place. Please take a vacation or take some english and debating crash courses somewhere so that maybe you can start making sense for once.

If you would know how to understand english you would realize that your post basically is supporting my claim. It puts Minecraft as a huge revenue producer for M$ which was my claim. Hell even on top of xbox live which means it's probably bigger than I thought.
