Forza 5 graphics not impressive

So I was watching Forza 5 gameplay on Gamespot, and i'm not impressed with the graphics at all.

Not only do the buildings in Forza 5 look like Google earth buildings:

But it seems that most trees are in 2D:

I think it's official that not only is Driveclub far more impressive from a technical standpoint, but also from a graphical standpoint. What do you think?

Forza 5 looks fantastic. Forza games have always had great gameplay, too.

Haven't seen much about Driveclub other than it being delayed, but GT6 should be awesome.

I don't see a big difference in graphics much anymore. Cars well....I think they're pretty much where they'll be. I'd compare the trees but the range is different. Trees further away won't show the detail of trees you're near.

Though the last shot looks best. Racers are boring anyway so they don't sell systems to me.

That's if they can get Driveclub looking better, with the delay they may have enough time.

They are at a distance, and look far better

Anyway if you close the distance in Forza 5, i'm pretty sure those trees will remain 2d lol

I admit to not paying attention to either game.....like I said....not into racers....but it looks good in that shot. It's the better of the two games using only these pictures as the standard.

The quality of the pictures don't mean anything in this thread, just the 2d trees that are so apparent in Forza 5, meanwhile Driveclub has gorgeous trees.

Just look at the stairs and the wood panelling in the Mini Cooper pic I posted! Xbox One = better stair modelling and wood textures confirmed!

All this thread has proven is that promotional screenshots look better than screen captures of a video. Thank you for another great thread.

Only reason the game is 1080p is because Gran Turismo on PS3 has lighting that is more next gen lol.

Major graphical sacrifices had to take place in order to get it at 1080p.

Expect this to happen to many other games for the next few years on Xbone.

Sorry davekeeh, but the previews are saying Forza was the better playing and better looking game. On of the reasons your precious Drive Club got delayed.

Its easier for a game to look better while running at 30 frames per second. Are people on SW this dumb? I mean I'm more interested in the ps4 but don't compare driveclub a delayed unproven ip with forza.

of course not... the game always looked like a 360 Forza in sharper resolution. downgrade its rez from 1080p and there will be zero noticeable differences between current and next gen Forza. That's the power of the X720p.

Hmm...no. I think it looks great.

I played Forza 5 in Chicago about on a Xbox One. It looks fantastic, and further more was moving with way more than one car onscreen and couldn't have looked or played smoother. We'll see how DC comes out when its finished. But saying it looks better in footage with one car on screen, sorry pal. Not even.

Heck, forza 4 on 360 still looks great to this day.

It will be fine, forza games always look great. Im more disappointed they took out auction house and no night or weather effects.

but it does still look rushed. I think perhaps Forza 5 should have been delayed. It looks little better than Forza 4, it has some very obvious 2D trees, jaggies, and some blurry textures. The X1 is capable of far more than this.

Graphics discussion aside, Forza 5 is the only game where you can race at sun-resistant vampire exclusive racing events. Every X1 owner should buy this game because of that.

You know there is a difference between tree's rendered on the course to the tree's in the background right? Go find proof that EVERY TREE in drive club is rendered 100%.
