I'm currently playing it on PS4 to test out the game and I'll say this. I'm having a blast. Mimics are annoying, yes, but the exploration is what I'm really enjoying. it's like Bioshock in Space in a kind of way which is good because I likeBioshock. I however see what's the complaining about, this is not what we saw from E3 2011, this isn't Prey 2 but still, I did enjoy this demo but I'll wait for the reviews first before buying it on PC and I do want to continue this game just so I can explore the rest of the station and uncover the mysteries of the story.
- The setting and story are interesting although nothing particularly novel or that gripping.
- The combat is truly awful, getting swarmed by mimics when you have only a wrench isn't frightening, it's just irritating especially when you can only swing it 4-5 times before you have to wait for it to "recharge".
- The upgrade system is just the same old stuff - move heavy objects, hack terminals, etc.
- The hacking mini game is horrible, give me a regular puzzle rather than some annoying bouncy maze any day of the week.
- The music is all of the show and the engine looks pretty tired, I'd guess it's the original Dishonored rather than Dishonored 2 engine but I could be wrong.
- Either way, I'd strongly suggest trying the demo before you buy. In that sense, kudos to Bethesda for releasing the demo and will wait for the reviews before buying it on PC.
