I'm not a fanboy, but honestly, I think if that was running on a 360 for as long as a lot of people run it on their PS3s I could see it getting 3 red lights fast.

If I kept my 360 on that long, for it to be worthwhile, then my bedroom would be like a sauna. I'm sure it would break before long as well.

You DO know that folding at home is available for PCs, don't you? So why couldn't the Xbox run it?

$400 waste of what?

hmmm... I've read an article that in theory it would work. Folding@Home can run on any machine that has a CPU. If the CPU is not powerful enough, it can use a GPU for the calculations instead. ATI R600 graphic cards are supported for calculations because they have a better RAW data processing, giving approximately 20x - 30x jump. Since the X360 has an R600 graphics chip, the 360 can run Folding@Home just as well. Source for the GPU: http://folding.stanford.edu/FAQ-ATI.html gnutux

Not true Folding can run on a 200Mhz pentium.  The point is that its not as adept at folding as the PS3 because folding requires high floating point calculations.  So basically folding can run on technically anything its programmed for.
