Flight Sim Top Gun - A loveletter to a SW user who wanted combat planes, or just a movie tie in?

I remember a user asking for this back in the day and he was laughed at saying go play something else instead that was awful what happened to him.

I hope we can fire missiles and guns and the whole plane functions and we get F14, F16 and F22 raptors want to see some explosions we getting this with this add on?

It was starscream in transformers and its faster than the f23 we need the f18 too though.

Meh, I'll stick with DCS World for combat.

MSFS is good for calm and relaxing jaunts.

I did. I got lost in it but I plan on jumping back in at some point.

Thjat's how I was for a long time as well. I kept jumping between a couple different planes due to lack of patience but honestly they're all "study sim" flight models.

I finally learned the A-10C well enough to do some missions and it was well worth it.

Hang in there, it's super rewarding.

That's what I enjoy in flight sim is the landing. Looking forward to doing the landing challenges, seen a few on YouTube and they look great.

I call those "crash gracefully" challenges 😁

Trying to land on an aircraft carrier at night in rough seas.

That was the most hardest sometimes seemingly impossible things to do in the old, Janes: USNF. But I love the sim. :P
