First God of War, now Spider-Man.. did PS4 win 2018?

It’s a good time to be a PS4 owner. You have the best console for multiplats, and you also have some of the best exclusives on the market. God of War released to universal acclaim and is on fire with sales. Spider-Man is a huge IP and will be released by a quality developer. It could very well be the icing on the cake for PS4 this year. Do you agree, SW? It’s not like Xbox was much competition although I will say I’m super excited for Forza Horizon 4. Switch had a lukewarm year but at least there’s the Smash collection coming up. Still, 2018 looks to be a win for Sony.. Agreed?

Well, let's wait until it's released. However, Nintendo which killed 2017, I mean two 10/10 is historic... is kind of weak this year. Only hope is that Super Smash also gets a 10 and some random other game also breaks the big scores.

I find it bizzare that he "supposedly" owns only a ps3, but spends day and night defending the X1 without even playing the consoles games. Bizarre.

God of War was great. Spider Man I'm not a big fan so I'm biasedly not hyped for it as much as I was for GOW. I don't understand why people have high hopes for it. Some think it will do better then what GOW did. It surprised me how well it did and still doing.

@needhealing: this is no surprise actually, most lemmings own a PS4 because they know it's the best console out there, they spend more time playing on their ps4's and spend more money on the PS4.

Yeah, dad of war was the best movie released on console this year hands down.

As for Spiderman? Meh, I've already played the Batman games. I can't imagine playing Spiderman aka, Batman with strings attached will be any better.

This game version of spider-man is trash. Christopher Daniel Barnes is about a million times better than this and is the definitive version of the character. I have yet to see a voice-over that is better than his. He is essentially the Kevin Conroy of spider-man.

But then again when the writing is garbage the voice acting is likely to be garbage as well.

No, hated the new gow, I miss the old style, atleast I have Bayonetta 2 and nier to hold me over on hack n slash. Spiderman is the only game I'm looking forward to on my PlayStation this year. IT BETTER BE GOOD...

Sea of Thieves only flopped due to lack of content. Something which is being addressed each month with updates like the one they are adding this month. Shame MS released it in such an unfinished state though.

It's an easy win from Sony. But overall it was a positive year for the big 3. Nintendo showed the Switch will be a relevant system and MS in reconstruction but already showing some growth.

And then there's Rockstar, that will probably steal the show by the end of the year.

Fo me personally no, I'm going with the Switch. To me, Octopath Traveler alone is better than all Ps4 exclusives combined.

Spiderman looks good but I'm not like super amped for it. There are just too many good games coming out at such high frequencies. I'm more focused on Shenmue Collection in August, Dragon Quest XI in September, and Red Dead Redemption in October will be like the icing on the cake lol

Way more excited for what’s on Switch the rest of the year than anything on Ps4 or Xbone. But thats just me. Only bought one game on Xbox this year and last game I bought on Ps4 was HZD

Not sure yet, but they are making a good run for it right now.

I'm pretty sure PS4 can win 2019 too.
