Fire Mcshea and Hire Adam Sessler

Adam Sessler is already working for a company called Revision3 Games

someones upset that he has to beta test GTA:ONLINE for pc gamers.

Meh I think McShea is more fun to read and has more ideas than Sessler. I don't really care about the scores.

to be honest, i would rather have him at Rev3games than here. I just can't trust gamespot. Going from being one of the most credible sites on the net with Gerstman and other guys with integrity, and then actually losing any shred by actually admitting to ask a reviewer to do a better score on a review because of money is something that has been blatantly overlooked. When two of your main reviewers have their own agenda's before doing reviews and not having problems throwing political agenda's aswell is just beyond me. I can't be surprised by any good or bad review here anymore to be honest. This is coming from a guy that has spent almost 9 years on this site

Morgan Webb... yeah there was some stupid shit from time to time, but I think large in part xplay was a decent show. I mean it was a gaming show formatted for tv... of course theres some cheese in it.

On topic, I don't wish anyone, anywhere to be fired... I just think you need to prioritize which reviews and reviewers assess a game in a way you find respectable...

Reviews became irrelevant here a long time ago.

I'd MUCH rather they hire Victor Lucas and Tommy Tallarico. The ONLY reviewers I liked but still didn't listen to. Judgment Day was the best because it gave 2 different views on each game. If they were to hire any reviewers, it should be those two. Nobody else.

Idk, I actually kinda like McShea's reviews. The thing about GameSpot is like, you can't actually look at the score. Just read the review. You can tell if the person you're reading about represents you as a gamer. Personally, I go to IGN for all my information. Why? They have more of it. And honestly, the guys seem like they are like me. They're fun and witty. Here, everyone is super cynical and upset about something. I go listen to the podcast with McShea and Petit on there and it's not terrible, but they just hate something or someone all the time. It's rarely fun or happy. Then I go to Podcast Beyond or Podcast Unlocked on IGN and the hosts are super funny, wacky, and funny. Like, I don't look to be upset after listening to a video game podcast. But yeah, for me it's all about whether or not they encapsulate you as a person. For me, McShea's reviews are solid and honest. Petit's review of GTA Online again, was brutal and honest because it needed to be. The online was bland and the promise seemed nicer than the reality. She called out Rockstar and honestly, those kinds of reviews should be appreciated. Difference of opinion should be invited. I don't want to hear zomg zomg beyond is so dumb all the time. Occasionally, I would like to hear what people liked from an otherwise despised game critically. I think GameSpot does a good job of that, McShea especially.

MacShea's a great editor, he's just the bane of fanboys' existence. Sessler's also great, btw

I think Gamespot missed a huge opportunity to not get Sessler. After all, he used to host Gamespot TV.

No offense to the guys from The Point or Feedbackula, but Gamespot needs better personalities.

Sessler would be wasted at GameSpot.

He'd be forced to write troll reviews whenever a big game drops or write articles inciting fake controversy.

Sessler's fine where he is. He gets to produce content himself instead of abiding by someone else's rulebook; he's a free man right now. Also, while he may write and produce reviews, he talks about things in games that are far above what you'd see on other sites. Artistic and literary references, cultural commentary and game theory are too high-brow for the rampant comment crowd anyway.

He's also developed a huge fanbase since Extended Play onward, so people know his name and his face. Rev3Games' channel traffic skyrocketed when he got on board, so there's no point in having Gamespot "hire" him since Rev3Games isn't going to give him up. Besides, he likes it there and he likes the people there.

The best kind of game critic is someone who you like even when you disagree with them completely; Adam is one of those critics and he deserves to be where he wants.

I don't like McShea...but i don't like Sessler either...screw them, bring back Kasavin!!!
