Finally a rumour about a good game.

It has been reported that forza Horizon 5 is coming next year as some dude named Jeff Grubb of GameBeat (never heard of either) has claimed.

At least this rumour seems more realistic than the recent rumours on here. He even seems to think he knows where the game is set.

So racing game fans (not cows, they love Driveclub) you think its true, and where do you think it will be set? my guess is Japan.

I came here to see Elden Ring news. You failed to entertain me. And we've already spoke about the next forza. The game is coming out in 2027.

Well that’s pretty interesting and very cool. Kind of surprised that it would be coming out before the next Forza Motorsport game but I’ll certainly take it. Forza Horizon 4 was absolutely fantastic, totally loved that game. I’m very curious to see where FH5 will take place.

Its gotta be Japan, it just has to as its different enough to other places, i mean the only other place i could think of that's "different" is China or North Korea and nobody wants it set in them lol.

@i_p_daily: Yeah, Japan definitely seems like it will be the most likely setting. It would certainly be the one that I would like to see.

The only other place i could think of is South Africa, driving through the bush with Rhinos and Zebras running around sounds pretty cool too. Its funny as i can't think of a native animal of Japan right now lol.

I enjoyed FH4, was a solid arcade racer and I enjoy the open world nature of it. Looking forward to the next instalment.

Except that I am not. Not because most of the people I argue with are Sony fannies doesn't make me part of any faction as much as folks try to. I game on whatever device fit my fancy at anytime. This faction nonsense is limiting. I don't know how any serious gamer can limit themselves to one platform because of brand loyalty when none of those companies pay the bills.

People can own multiple platforms and still be a fanboy of one, like how you are for Xbox, no shame in it.

I limit myself to Xbox by choice not because of some blind loyalty towards MS, i don't care for most of MS biggest games in Halo/Gears, i'm a Forza fan, so i need to own an Xbox or PC to play the games, and i choose ease of use of Xbox over the shitfest that is PC.

I have the last 2 FH games. They were good, though I'm not a fan of the live service stuff in FH4.

Not really in the mood for racing game right now, but that might change when this thing comes out. We'll see.

I would love Africa. A desert area with huge sand dunes, some dusty roads, muddy forests, savannahs and a city area. Count me in! Russia could be awesome too, lots of diverse terrains there also.

Japan wouldn't be interesting to me imo, but I get it makes sense commercially. Would take south America over it.

Last two FH are some of the best games ever made but I would rather wait more 2 or 3 years.

Maybe read the article, all last gen it was one year Motorsport & the next year it was Horizon, the last game was FH4 and the next Motorsport game has been announced already, so by releasing another Horizon game would make it back to back releases for the first time.
