Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age Reports Over 1 Million Sold

Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age has topped one million units and digital sales worldwide Square Enix announced today. Following it's launch in July, the Playstation 4 HD Remaster introduced a number of additions including remastered HD graphics, soundtrack, a revamped battle system and more.

"Thank you to all the fans for helping us to reach this milestone," said producer Hiroaki Kato. "We are overwhelmed with the response from both new players and fans of the original."

So after about 3 months a PS2 game from 2006 sold over 1 million copies. GS is this good or bad? Thoughts?

Don't think zodiac age was ever released in the west

I'm glad to see it succeed.

Like every FF game it's oozing with flaws, but it still got a lot of undue hate when it released. Gameplay/content wise I found it to be one of the most enjoyable games in the series. A lot of that optional content was well made and challenging, actually making you put in some work with the combat.

I'd pick it up if I weren't so buried in other games. Will get around to it eventually.

Doesn't take away the fact that it is still an old game.

It sold 1 million. PS4 is 60+million so we will still make fun of old games.

Good to see. It's my favorite Final Fantasy of all time... that world is huge.

I would like to think that I was the millionth purchase there. Just bought it Sunday cause I was holding out for a sale; it's one of my favorites, in fact I have considered it in my top 10 of all time before, but with all the other games releasing I had to hold out. Started playing it and I'm loving it again; it's so good.

I'm actually glad I got the chance to play it again. The first time around I really wasn't feeling it even though I preordered it, had it day one and it was the steelbook edition and I was super hyped. idk maybe I was too young. It just didn't do it for me, though. This time around I think I gave it more of a shot and I appreciate some of it's more mature themes like the heavily political storyline and the gambit system.

new to the west

Bought it, as i never got to play it the first time around, and its probably the FF im most interested in because of its uniqueness. Also Final Fantasy games have great steel books.

Glad its doing well. Remasters arent bad as long as they're priced accordingly and dont take much away from new games being made.

It is my Second Favorite PS4 Game next to dragon quest builders!
