Final Fantasy VII Remake coming March 3rd, 2020

FF7 is episodic, as everyone who has actually played the game knows. The opening in the city is its own episode, and its followed by other episodes all marked by a certain aim for the heroes.

This is underlined by the fact that you usually cannot go back to places you have 'cleared' in FF7. So, its very linear in that.

If you buy the game and cannot finish it because you have to wait for more content, then its episodic. Your analogy of Batman & Tomb Raider is clutching at straws as I played and finished those games without having to wait for more content to be released, but using DLC (I guess that's what you're getting at) is stupid on your part, but expected from an alt such as yourself.

Correct me if I'm wrong, it was already said to only be a PS4 timed exclusive a couple of years ago. GameStop Ireland also accidentally leaked an Xbox One version.

How big the episodes are is going to make or break it for me. I remember awhile back square was saying each episode would be as long as the original game, if that's true I'm 100% ok with it.

Excited for this game to come out. Midgard is a big place and has plenty to offer. The battle system is gonna be "lit" as the kids call it. The battle systems from FFXIII are some of my absolute favorite of all the final fantasy games.

I really don't mind if I get the whole story or not because I already played the original. I know what happens, it won't feel like a cliff hanger. I just want a great game with enough amazing content to be worth the price.

I pre order the deluxe version.. I can't wait.. 2020 is going to be great with both FFVII and TLOUS 2

Going by how many are willfully ignoring the obvious ploy SE is using to get more money out of the community, I think they have made the right choice in trying to benefit their shareholders. Dangle the right carrot in front of some gamers and they will empty their wallets without any hestitation!

Well done, guys. It may now be the case that every single FF title from here on out will be "episodic" in nature and we'll all be paying 180 USD for a single FF story to be complete...

Day one, my PRO gets a lot of use next year and I'm glad. It has been collecting dust almost this whole year.
