Seems odd since there was never any word yet of FF7R ever going to Xbox. Maybe though like the marketing deal leak showed though just a minor deal still comes with clause to allow Sony option to outbid any offer MS makes for future Game Pass content.

Not surprised at all. Also it doesn’t mean others are “missing out”, it just means they have simply wait a bit longer to play it on another platform instead. Personally I can wait to play something on the platform of my choice. There’s tons of great games that I can enjoy on any platform until then. 🤷‍♂️

Imagine this game relaunching with a $70 price tag, and being proud to GladlyPay™ that........

instead of just:

• adding the DLC to the base game you already own
• patching in the menial graphics updates they're certainly charging you for
• adding 120 FPS boost + enhanced resolution
• launching the game in GamePass
• actually being able to recognize your save data from the original game, and not have to start over.

Again, imagine being proud to GladlyPay™ $70 for that, after already paying for the base game. I don't ever want to hear Cows don't care about old games again.

Where is the PC port?

@sakaixx: well, there was Covid so maybe if they planned on an Xbox port a year after FF7R's release, maybe that pushed it back.

Maybe MS too if they are making a deal is saving it for some kind of E3 "available now/soon for Game Pass" kind of surprise announcement, for better event impact.

Yeah, unless you want to do multiplayer, then you have to apparently go back to the PS3 for the good games. :-S

What's up with Sony's odd obsession with keeping this extremely old game away from other systems? They're spending a hell of a lot of money keeping this exclusive when that money should go to more important ventures

Definitely will wait for the Legendary edition to come out before I get into this. Games like this should not be enjoyed piecemeal.

I kinda feel like if you're a big FF fan, you're probably on either PC or PS. I'm surprised no one ever mentions about the best FF game, FFXIV, being console exclusive to PS. Just to clarify, I think everyone should have access to FF games. Kinda sucks this is PS5 only, if I'm reading that right.

@Pedro: The upgrade from the PS4 to the PS5 version is free. The DLC you have to pay for.

It is a pointless extension to the pointless timed exclusive but then I do not agree with third party games which were multiplatform becoming exclusive.

Not having a Ps5 means you get no Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart on June 11th.

Thus you should get a Ps5 :)

Well it's already been a year since it came out. So after the extended exclusivity it will be closer to 2 years.

Already bought the collector's edition on PS4, so not really missing out on anything except a Yuffie episode. That'll probably be all over Game pass in the future, so only cows are still getting milked.

Anyhow, already play it on PS4 and not really interest replaying it again anytime soon and even if it does comes to PC (and we all know it will) I was gonna wait for a big sale to get it anyway.
