Hah, there is no way that it is the best game of all time. Its not even the best JRPG, let alone the best Final Fantasy for that matter.Vandalvideo
I agree with this.
Everyone knows that if you can pick just one FF, VIII is the one you should go with.
FF9? That was good, but I prefer FF7 the best.
FF9's story was great but that whole "terra" planet thing just...erm...ruined it slightly.
FF8 I liked better than 9 id have to say.
I'll give FF9 some credit though. It was the only FF game where the list of stuff that survived the events of the game was infinitely shorter than the list of stuff that didn't.
What was all lost? An entire race, every major city in the world, one of the world leaders, an entire planet.... I could go on, but you get the idea. Seriously. After all that, what was left to save? Reno?

I have many dear childhood memories about Super Mario RPG.
I agree.
It had the BEST MUSIC., the best Nobuo Uematsu work so far.
The best characters.
Vivi was cute, and its existential conflict was very deep.
Garnet was the definition princess ala disney, remenber her scene where she cutts her hair.
Steiner, was the definition of the protector, trust and loyal men.
Quina Quen was hilarious.
The best animation at that time.
Best chocobo treasure hunt minigame/exploration.
The game was amazingly BIG. Took hours to finish but i enjoyed every hour.
Was my first RPG played and played 3 other times after.
I really cant understand why so much people say FF7 is better. Perhaps cause they didnt played FF9, or because was the first rpg they played, or first 3d at least.
For me, that played the FF9 first, FF7 while great, is mediocre compared to FF9.

Because it's fun? I donno. I've probably played through it over a hundred times. The game is just too fun to stop playing. I always have a game going.
Doesnt' matter to me if people don't agree, but to me no game has ever given me so much replay value, and entertainment as Super Mario RPG. All there is to it.
STALKER
STALKER: Clear Sky
Company of Heroes
The Elder Scrolls Morrowind
Those are the best games of all time -->IMO

I can appreciate that.
For me the most replay value is in RE2.
Spoilers! i have it in my collection but have yet to play it :(I'll give FF9 some credit though. It was the only FF game where the list of stuff that survived the events of the game was infinitely shorter than the list of stuff that didn't.

FF9 is my favorite game of all time i had to hold back tears once i was old enof to figure out the ending was vivis final goodbye.
FF9 was also my first FF game, rpg, hardcore game, game that wasnt like spyro or crash or other old platformer the story line is beyond amasing to me its the only game i can play for the 10th time and still have it feel brand new to me.
