Colour me tentatively excited. Only the initial opening segment shown, so God knows when this comes out. Hopefully June gives us some later areas outside of the first Reactor.
I was about to say for some reason this one made me interested in this thing now. Maybe its just we are pass all the bullshit now and the game feels closer. Also Barret looks like wesley snipes mu**** ****.
That looks awesome to me. I remember seeing advent children and wondering when games would look like that and it seems we are there. I like what their doing with the combat system as well. Also note Clouds arms look much bigger then they did in the original trailer.
Looking very good indeed. I’ll be getting the Xbox One version myself. I just recently played through Final Fantasy VII on the Xbox One so I’m looking forward to comparing the original with the remake.

Yeah, this was a solid showing... Sony's last was just "blah," but they're starting to ramp up. Kinda bummed they're skipping E3, because it's always fun to watch the big reveals.

Yes and no, let's say Square-Enix share Sony's vision about this censor stuff, so it's worrysome because Tifa will be what give us indication of how they'll bring the game to modern times.

The first one was pretty embarrasing this one had several trailers that are newsworthy like Monster Hunter, Medievil and Final Fantasy.
@i_p_daily: They implemented FFXV's combat system. I'm holding off to see how it does, as it was a decent system... Not sure how it'll work for 7.
I'm not the biggest fan of 7 as 8 is my favourite, but it looks like they are butchering it. I mean I get the graphics overhaul but taking out turn based for hack n slash is overkill, and takes away one of the main reasons people bought it in the first place.
With that and its episodic it feels like they taking a big dump on the original.

Unless FF's are specifically numbered with a sub-title, then they are independent. Any main-numbered release is a completely separate story with different characters.
As for next-gen... It could be cross-gen. It's all up-in-the-air at the moment.

It sucks that with all the old FF games released recently they left out 8 which I think they're going to go the same route as 7, otherwise why wouldn't they have re-released it.
Between the game being episodic and using XV battle system (which is burnt dog shit), Im gonna have to pass. I feel like square totally missed the mark with this remake.
Wow Sony really surprised me with this one. I was expecting another mediocre conference like last, but this actually gripped me! I am excited for this game, but I really hope that behind that flashy looking cinematic is a turn based battle system.
