I'm going to have to go with Mercenaries; both games were flawed, but both were loads of fun. Uncharted meshes together too many different genres for it to be considered strictly a third-person shooter.
Gears of War. Great Co-op experience made it worth it. The game play and cover mechanics are still second to none in the TPS genre. However I would say that if Dead Space 2 surpasses the original it could change (If it fits in the TPS genre).
