Fable MS' Heavy Hitter After Halo Infinite?

This is all speculation, since I'm just happy MS finally official announced a new Fable game, being confirmed to be developed by Playground, which makes me happy knowing it's in good hands.

Anyways, recent rumors and actions by MS hinted at a new Fable, and the reveal was set up like a "best for last" -type thing. Making us think that was the end of the showcase, and there wouldn't be a Fable announcement, then hit us with a Fable announcement, kind of like how they did with Halo Infinite back at E3 2019.

So regardless of whether Halo Infinite is successful or flops, I wonder if MS could be betting on Fable being the next SX system seller after Halo.

MS wants it to be a GamePass seller. I think hardware is becoming less important for it.

To me Obsidian in general is the heavy hitter for MS. Not sure if that's the way MS sees it, but it's the way I do.

I think it's a bigger one TBH. Halo looks... Eh. Fable is more of a fan service showing

Don’t forget that they have another show in August as well and no doubt have a few more surprises to show. Perfect Dark could be another one. Anyway I am pretty stoked for Fable and it certainly has that ‘heavy hitter’ potential.

number 2 is gears but they just released 5.

Gears 5 was stale. Not bad, but stale. And we have several years before we'll even see an announcement for a new Gears.

The same sentiment could be used against Sony. Both of them are trickling out info on games up until the consoles' launches.

It will be accessible by 10 million gamepass user so it will be immediately successful by gamepass numbers. Not sure if it can be successful in retail space though

As someone who owned and loved the 360 even though my one DID RROD on me... The ONLY games I actually loved from that console was PGR and Forza, Gears was decent but I never got into the multi-player.

Now that all the games are also on PC I can wholeheartedly say that Forza is all I actually care about playing from what they showed, I don't care about Fable and think its overrated and Halo is what Call of Duty is to me its become stale and lost the magic it once had.

Give me Forza Motorsport/Horizon on my PC and throw in VR support and you have my money.

same with sony they have more to show. these companys never put all there eggs in one basket. there cut throat each other. but so far sony has showed me more games that i want.

Fable will be an mmo-light a la Destiny. Ready to bet $5 on it.

I doubt it will be an MMO, but if it is I will so laugh as that would be a fitting end for that dumpster fire of a series.

Fable is going to be epic. If that trailer was anything to go by that franchise is in good hands. The humor, world design charm all there. I’m excited.

Fable is gonna take time and Playground Games just started in 2018. Fable has always been pretty ambitious. Microsoft needs the game to hit in a big way, so I doubt we see it before 2023. But can Xbox wait that long?
