yep this aswell, also it will help when VR comes out, since basically All Xbox One users are with the camera already.

Is like complaining about A 500 PC/or a NVidia or ATI gpu that came with a free Windows/game copy (you can throw them to garbage and still use the main equipment normally,this case just unplug Kinect and be done with it),

why would i complain about the free software and the free-optional hardware?

Except for it's nothing like that. I have a hard time believing anyone here would downgrade their CPU, gpu, and ram just so they could get a free copy of windows on their new gaming PC. You're acting like concessions weren't made to shoehorn Kinect in the box. The system specs took a big hit.

For the record, I love the Kinect. However, I want the Xbox One to be as successful as possible and if most consumers don't want Kinect, don't bundle it.

Kinect has very neat features that hardcore players that play on their own may not experience.

Uses that have been useful so far.

Just Dance - awesome how it can now see a 4 year old a 6 foot+ chap 5 feet away. We just get up and play.

Zoo Tycoon - kids love feeding animals

Skype - awesome use of Kinect, kids talk to grandparents

Volume control - just awesome now it moves up more than 3 notches

Hiding things inappropriate to people in the room - daughter scared of Dead Rising image for example. Kinect see's her, hides it, plus she cant play the game. Auto sign in really useful.

Kinect Sports will be first game to make full use of it.

Xbox Fitness is really good with Kinect

Project Spark - putting yourself in games

Where in the rules does it say Kinect (or indeed the Xbox) has to only cater for hardcore gamers.

This is just the start future stuff could include:-

Scanning players into call of duty type games. Killing your mates

Horror games, dark room with Kinect monitoring your actions.

and loads more

The price difference and the inclusion of Kinect is probably not the main thing causing people to buy a PS4 over XBO. The proof of that claim is the facts that the PS Camera (piece of garbage compared to Kinect) is flying off the shelves, and, with the price drops and Titanfall bundles, XBO is actually around the same pricepoint as PS4 now anyway (plus added value of the bundles hardware). The real truth is that Sony capitalized on MS's rocky marketing campaign under Mattrick, and now people are simply buying PS4's because of how "cool" Sony seemed.

Infamous is the first game on PS4 worth owning and it's not even that good. XBO had a very strong launch lineup and it has TF which was easily the best game shown at E3, and is currently one of if not the best games on the market. Do I think XBO should be outselling PS4 worldwide on Titanfall alone? No. But, if consumers weren't thinking with their ass the sales would be very close. There's nothing out right now that logically explains why the PS4 is outselling the XBO by a fairly large margin.

Well, value is one thing but when a consumer gets to the store, it sees the X1 at $450 and the PS4 at $400. Now this may be pretty even now since the X1 includes a good game but it's always better to be $400 and choose the game you want.

Even so, the X1 with that new bundle is selling on pace with the PS4.

The reason the PS4 is ahead is due to the launch window where the X1 was $500 vs $400 for PS4. Very big disadvantage right there that explains the X1 sales woes.

its not about what is done or the quality if its done because ms cant force devs to use it, but what they did do is make it so the option is attractive if a dev implements it.
