Elitist Mentality

Apparently as a novice poster I have neither the required clout or ability to post in the area of the System Wars Forums. Fortunately I can counter this by posting to the System Wars Forum. I am interested in asking about how people feel about the new consoles since they haven't released many of their heavy hitter titles? Also if anyone has any advice on which console they prefer for any reason from controllers to specs?

if you know you can't create threads why make them? There are a million of articles comparing consoles in the web.

Nah, that's merely semantics. Fact of the matter is you are 481 posts shy of being able to legally create a thread in System Wars.

Made up rule? obviously, every forum make their rules and this is one of the forum you are posting, period.

I guess I left the Wii U out since it doesn't seem to be competing well in sales. Unfortunately I think Nintendo needs some new IPs to stay relevant. No need to bring about the argument of the PC versus Console, just those within the field of Consoles.

You can post in the Game Discussion forum. The 500 post rule is in place to keep people from making hostile usernames for the sole purpose of posting in here and pissing everyone off with nonsense threads. This particular board is already hostile enough that having people make usernames solely to make threads titled "Nintendo Needs to Die" only made things unbearable for anyone hoping to have a somewhat intelligent conversation. Think of getting to 500 posts as your initiation. It's like pledging a frat, except nobody makes you crawl through glass, you just don't get all the benefits until you go through the entry procedures.

it would be better to just shut down System Wars. Nothing good has come from it.

Like I said I wasn't aware of the rule when I made the post as I said I am novice. Wasn't trying to upset the order I get it I am an FNG and there fore must earn my posting stripes.

@FakeMythology i agree that the 500 post rule is ridiculous. personally, i'd prefer it if i had autonomy of censorship of every new thread. you'd be glad to know that your thread would make the cut.

Don't abuse the rules, you know you weren't meant to make a thread so why do it? We're not going to feel pity for you when this gets locked, regardless of what you were trying to discuss.

I find the complaining about 500 posts to be worse than the topics made by users with under 500 posts. SW is kind of ridiculous. No threads unless you have 500 posts but most threads are abject crap anyway. Let's be real.....

if you want to get away with posting under 500, you need to try the weekends or late at night, the mods are barely around then. I try to save my more controversial topics for those times.
