This could be good. If was good to begin with, not owned by EA and not developed by Bioware.

so its going to be a scrolling beat em up for mobile with a boat load of microtransactions. or maybe a diablo like with more kung fu.....on mobile with a boat load of MTs. whatever it is it wont be like the first one (which was a bit disappointing anyway. it felt unfinished).

I really enjoyed Jade Empire and would love to see a sequel get made.

This gives me hope that Bioware isn't going anywhere after Anthem's launch. This is one EA/Bioware game that I could actually get excited for. Loved the original and I just hope they don't screw it up. (Who am I kidding? It's EA were talking about)

Why do people still get excited over EA announcements? EA isn’t the same company when the original JE released, and rest assured, JE will adhere to their current MO: games gutted for exploitative monetization.

Anything EA hints at for games for the future that I adored from them in the past exist alongside those from companies like Ubi: those not interested in the game, but how to gut it for the ultimate cash cow to be milked. These companies are dead to me, and anything they create is predictably exploited.

If its going on the same Frostbite, then its going a crappy game. If EA is going to disappoint us with these game, why don't just close down Bioware already and sell the ip to a studio who actually have a passion making games instead of money.

Because I personally don't care about EA like that and if a "game" is good, I'll play it, regardless if it has EA stamp or not. I know why EA is the worst company but they hardly rub me the wrong way. I'm not a hippocratic & I just don't have the time to shit on another company.

I dread to think what EA are planning to do with such an iconic I.P. at least Creative Assembly are appear to be doing the setting justice with the up coming Total War: Three Kingdoms, which looks awesome.

More like Knights of the Old Republic with the Romance of The Three Kingdoms as a back drop. It's a fantastic game.

Jade Empire was incredibly boring and generic game. So dull! Fable was way better.

It not mean game being made. It maybe. But it also mean it could just be ea protecting it property.

@uninspiredcup: I would absolutely take more Jade Empire.... Amazing game. Really great combat ideas for an RPG... It needed a little refining but it was fresh. Also, a really great world to tell stories in.

I have every reason to believe this game will be destroyed into bits with EA calling shots.

About damn time, been waiting for a Jade Empire 2 for a long, long, long time.

With the advancements gaming has made, melee combat (Spiderman, Shadow of War, Batman Arkham games, etc) I think this game could be really fun.

Really hope they still with the whole Chinese mythology and multiple kinds of kung-fu forms.

I dislike the artwork from Mass Effect Andromeda. It has to be competitive to Sony's 1st party female character models.
