The Shadow of the Erdtree expansion for Elden Ring will be the size of two DLCs, according to a recently emerged rumor. This claim surfaced online just as the fandom uncovered a new Elden Ring bug that breaks the game in a terrifying fashion.

What say you fellow SW friends? Do you think it's better to combine the DLC into one big one or to stretch them out? I think combing them is better, because as time goes on, the games are forgotten and deleted from from our hard drives.

Combine. DLCs that are over a year later are already too late. When most people are playing a game they don't take 1 year break in hopes to return.

The main game with its INCREDIBLE dlc will be remembered as the best package in gaming history. You think that Nintendo can compete by adding some lazy ass Master Mode with its ToTK dlc's? Think again. And you really thought that i wouldn't be mentioning totk in an ER thread? THINK AGAIN, bro.

You know, i am kinda disappointed in myself for not mentioning it as much as i used to. Its just that nothing is happening with the game or 343i. We've reached a point where people simply do not give a shiet what's happening with that game, so it ain't even fun anymore to laugh at this failure. When we've reached this point, that is where the game dies completely since everyone lost the passion to care of it improving.

Fair enough. My copy has been deleted since the month it was released. Played the campaign and nixxed it from there.

This is why never bother with season passes pre-release. Can just make grand promises based on nothing where everything is subject to change. Don't even need to be in the initial stages or show anything, just write a few vague sentences.

I can see why, this game died right after it came out. It had a 97% quit rate after just a couple months. Im guessing hes done with it and will just focus on his next game.

Got the platinum. Spent way too much time in that world. Gonna pass on this dlc.

So I haven't started Elden yet. Main game + dlc what kind of time commitment am I looking at, 584847436448558 hours, or 474737374484585747558568 hours?

Malenia achievement sits at 35% on at steam achievements, an optional boss that some might not even find, that's higher the completion rate of most even shorter games.

Wouldn't surprise me considering the base game felt like it included 3 full blown DLC worths of content. An absolute behemoth of a game

If it's true, that's totally fine. Take all the time you want. The base game was more than complete enough. It would not be the kind of DLC that would make up for the shortcomings that other average games tend to have. Many fans who have already enjoyed the base game will happily wait and look for more complete DLC rather than hastily created smaller DLCs.

save scumming or over 10 playthroughs? or helping others?

They could release the dlc 5 years after its launch and it would be played to death.

I've beat the game about 7 times across 3 characters and 450-500 hours and looking forward to the dlc.
