Eiyuden Chronicle Kickstarter campaign reached $1,000,000 strench console goal within six hours

Eiyuden Chronicle, the new RPG from the creators of Suikoden and the just-established Rabbit & Bear Studios, has just launched its Kickstarter campaign at 9 A.M. PST.

The main funding goal sits at about $500,000. A console stretch goal awaits at $1 million, which includes support for Nintendo platforms.

I won't partake in the kickstarter, but i will purchase the videogame when it is released; it is nice that it reached its goal.

I really missed out on Suikoden, but this could be great. The short gameplay trailer was interesting... Kinda Octopath Traveller, but higher quality sprites/backgrounds.

I'm interested in the game, thinking about supporting the Kickstarter anyhoo.

Great to hear. Loved the Suikoden games so really hoping that this one turns out good. I’m not going to back but I’ll definitely buy the game if it turns out good.

Shenmue 3 made $1 million in an hour and 44 minutes. Clearly the record holder. That said, great news for those wanting to see this succeed.

Anyhow making the console ver a pledge goal certainly helps a as Suikoden is mostly a PlayStation specific titles. Lots long time Suikoden fans posted they already funded in suikoden related forums and facebook groups. Loving the increase in activity the the groups so far and cannot wait for a release date!

I'll never contribute to a Kickstarter after seeing how badly people got burned from Mighty No.9, however, this could be great. I've never played Suikoden, but have only heard fantastic things, so I'm looking forward to what this team can cook up. The concept art looks awesome.
