Edge says multimedia box clear winner is XBAWX

Yep this goes without saying but its good that outlets are reporting on how much better the xbox is as a multimedia device. Discuss. BUT BUT THE PAYWALL isn't enough of an argument and I agree, if you want the best multimedia box you go with XBAWX.. If you bring up games, well Titanfall, halo 5, sunset overdrive, ryse, forza 5, Kinect sports rivals, killer instinct, dead rising 3, d4, etc blow away Sonys box of indies and last showing 7.5 infamous, and generic Killzone. so yeah we know which system has the better games so keep it at multimedia baby

That was pretty obvious, and when Windows 8 apps get ported over it will do even more.

Not surprising, the capabilities of the XOne OS are above and beyond what the PS3.5 can do.

No offense, but I'd prefer a smaller gaming console and an entirely seperate multimedia box....

If I really wanted an all in one solution, I'd drill some holes and draw a cable or set up my rPi, which is currently collecting dust anyway.

For someone who does not care about it you sure as **** are on the internet enough instead of playing games.

But it is behind a pay wall,after you pay for it,it is better,the xbox one was build to be a TV tunner for cable box,so yeah it is better at that,sadly that is also what makes it an inferior gaming platform.

While I agree with them, didn't Edge earlier in the summer tell everyone to buy a PS4? They tend to be a bit on the tabloid style in recent months. Having said that, the claim is true. The paywall argument is a joke, lol. If I buy Xbox its cause I want to play multiplayer games and live is required. Why would I care whats behind the paywall? I wouldn't buy the system just to watch netflix and stream movies when a number of cheap devices, my laptop, and my TV can already do that. It just makes no sense to me. There is zero reason to buy a Xbox if you don't want Live.

The game is not exclusive by any means,and when you play that card you certainly look stupid because for the launch of the PS4 there are several games that are not on xbox one while they are on PC,and you people dismiss them as been on PC,so once again why should i care i can play titanfall without buying and xbox one,hell the game was put on 360 as a fail safe for profits..lol

Don't really care for that. I just want a box that will play games and movies. PS4 will offer the best of both worlds, including better hardware for 100 less. Easy decision for me. X1 good for those looking for all that in a console though.

well compare game library this gen to know what will happen next one, ps4 getting probably 10's and gotys again, and now with the multiplatform advantage being so big, well, dont really see how can xbox compare to ps4 in terms of gaming, i guess if i didnt already have a gaming pc, laptop and even my effin blu ray with netflix and all that multimedia crap ready to go. The only game x360 got this year was crappy gears of war while ps3 got tales of xillia, graces, god of war ascension, beynd two souls and more importantly last of us.

What happened last gen has no baring on this gen. Both companies will learn lessons. PS3 had nothing for at the beginning for years Xbox 360 had nothing at the end. This generation will be completely different. Microsoft know how important 1st party is and have spent big to the point where they have more than Sony.

I agree, if you want a multimedia box, get a XB1. You can snap between Netflix, HBO, 720upscaled/30fps/jaggy games and Major Nelson just by waving your hand.

If you want native 1080p/60fps gaming with Anti-Aliasing and save $100 in the process, get a PS4.

If you believe that then you're in for a huge surprise. MS will insure every single TV add has Xbox One on it. I doubt outside of a bottom of the screen flash you'll even see there's a 360 version or PC. They certainly won't do any TV ads for them. PC gamers are always in the know and don't even need TV ads, lol. The only footage you will see in ads and TV commercials will be the Xbox One version.

I love how Sony Fan hangs on to first impressions at E3. Hey Sony Fan no one is saying this now that games, features, and actual play time has been demonstrated.

I am amazed we have not heard any 1.8tflops or 50% more power talk but still here E3 talk.

Also anyone that is actually want to game in 2013 and 2014 will be gaming on the system with actual games and not just Bloom/Blur/FogZone. It is funny that The One is the best gaming console and best multimedia box around.
