Poll EA or Sega - Which 3rd party publisher do you prefer to see it for Xbox Series X/PS5/PC's library of games? (28 votes)

EA 21%
Sega 79%

Dear gamers in the System Wars board.

Time for another odd question for Xbox Series X, PS5 and PC.

Which 3rd party publisher in between EA and Sega that you prefer to see it for Xbox Series X, PS5 and PC's library of games?

As I know most Nintendo fans much more prefer Sega way over EA for their Nintendo Switch because of Sonic and whatever Sega platformers.

P.S I vote for EA because of Need For Speed, Burnout, Battlefield, Star Wars and FIFA.

Hard to say as I probably like them both equally overall. I like EA mostly for BioWare games and Star Wars. I would want to go with Sega for Phantasy Star Online plus they still publish quite a few games that I really enjoy. Think I’d go with Sega here.

Sega easily, been mostly making all the right moves lately.

EA are assholes if they left the industry give a big ol' cheer.

I genuinely don't remember the last time I enjoyed an EA game. So there's my answer.

Sega. They have Total War and Amplitude games (Endless Space 1 & 2, Endless Legend, upcoming Humankind). They also have Yakuza and Persona series, which are at least interesting.

The only legitimately interesting dev EA have are Respawn. Jedi Fallen Order is the first actually good Star Wars game from EA, so jury's still out on whether EA Star Wars is worth hyping. Battlefield and FIFA represent many of what's wrong with AAA games these days. Forza Horizon > Need For Speed. BioWare are a shell of their former selves.

I still prefer Forza Horizon more than Need For Speed too because of driving physics, roaster of playable cars, events and maps.

I also choose open-world arcade racers over kart racers including Sonic Racing and many others.

Sega is incredibly bias towards Japanese console makers. They releases exclusives like Sakura Wars, Judge Eyes and signed deals for exclusive Sonic games for nintendo (glad Sonic Boom sucked). And have Atlus which publishes exclusives for Sony and sometimes Nintendo (if SMTV ever comes out). This means Xbox users is and will be missing out on a lot of games.

EA does more microtransactions and whatever games as service bullshit for its game titles.*oh gotta admit battlefield 1 is really pretty.

- hmm.

If Xbox Series X misses out several Sega games, I don't care about it since I don't like Sega anymore.

I still rather have EA.

Hard to tell. Sega for 2d gaming, like Sonic Mania and Streets of Rage 4, and EA exclusively for Star Wars.

I agreed with you at this point!

If you ask me to play either FIFA or Mario & Sonic At Olympics? I'd say FIFA!

Neither, EA's games are mostly shit and that includes NFS.

Sega sit and let all of its great IP's rot, and release crap like Monkeyball & Persona.

Sega should just lease out all of its IP's as i'd rather someone else have a go and fail then let these IP's rot.

Well, the next Need For Speed is in development and why don't you give it a chance?

It might be better than current-gen ones.

Sega by default, just for Persona and Bayonetta, EA has very little left for me to play. They blew Mass Effect and Anthem this gen. I care nothing for Dragon Age. With exception of Battlefield 1, I didn't care for the orher Battlefield games this gen. Respawn might be the only developer of theirs I care to see what they will make next.

EA have been given chances for the last 2 gens now and they keep fucking it up, just give the series to DICE as they would make a great NFS game if given the freedom.

Criterion is making the next NFS. Would prefer they do Burnout but, who knows this installment might be decent

Because its EA, they don't learn from their mistakes. Nothing will change.

Well then with Criterion its on lock to be shit, they have used the same difficulty assets (rubberbanded AI) in every one of its NFS games.

EA may as well retire the series now.

Sega wins currently but if BioWare can somehow turn Anthem around like they’ve promised (Ha ha, not holding my breath) and DA4 comes out and is stellar...it might be a closer race.

I vote EA because of SSX, Burnout, Skate ect... As much as I hate EA as a company I can't ignore that I love some of their library of games. Sega is very nostalgic of the good old days but their games don't appeal to me anymore.
