E3 Third Party Exclusive Speculation Initiative

Microsoft has a thing for third party exclusive deals, so them.

I'd to see Nintendo try to snag something a bit different and unexpected. Maybe a strategy/city building game from a traditional PC dev? A Civ title maybe? Would be cool and could use the pad very well.

Sony: Project Beast (co-developed by Sony though) and possibly Agent

Microsoft: Project Nagano, Mistwalker JRPG, possibly Shenmue 3 (also possible PS4 exclusive), maybe something from EA (Battlefront 3?). Depends how much money they want to throw around.

Most of the games MS gets will probably have sequels on the PS4 though.

Battlefront 3 won't be a Xbone exclusive. It's already been announced as a multiplat on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. EA wouldn't bait and switch if the platforms have already been announced (plus, they wouldn't want to lose out on all that money PS4 would rake in for them). Same goes for Agent. Can't see that game staying exclusive to PS3 or PS4. Rockstar is too big to stay exclusive on one platform.

My guess is Microsoft. They usually focus on third-party games anyway touting they'll receive exclusive DLC content first before other platforms. From the sounds of it, they also have some exclusive third-party titles to announce (some of which might be Japanese titles). We'll see.

Microsoft. With rumors floating around that they've aquired several franchises, I'm sure we'll see many 3rd party exclusive and timed exclusive games for XB1 at the E3. Same thing they did with XBox 360 when they got games like Ace Combat 6, Tales of Vesperia, Lost Odyssey, Ridge Racer 6, Culdcept Saga, Naruto: Rise of a Ninja and Star Ocean to be exclusive or timed exclusive.

It wouldn't surprise me if this time Sony snatched something substantial but cows would totally embrace it despite bashing MS last gen for doing so. But then again, Sony are supposedly lacking funds.

Microsoft will have the most. Nintendo will have the least but most surprising. Sony will be a middle ground between the two.

would be genuinely surprised if Ninty manages to bag a couple. Would definitely make things interesting. I doubt they would be high profile AAAs though.

Well, since MS has no good 1st party and have an history of buying 3rd party exclusive titles I'm gonna vote MS. I just hope the rumoured Vanquish 2 X1 exclusive isnt true. And I would kill Capcom if they made DMC5 X1 exclusive

Sony get Agent as a permanent or 8th gen GTA 5 as a timed "exclusive". Shenmue 3 later at TGS or more likely, never.

MS get the Platinum exclusive (Bayonetta 3 for lols) and a new IP by Epic. And Ryse 2 but we don't care about that, of course.

Ms getting Bayo 3 exclusive would be mind bending lol. All sorts of different factions would be pissed off about that haha. I just hope MS doesn't lockdown Zone of The Enders 3, or any survival horror game. If it's Resident Evil 7 then I'd let them have it because 6 was positively awful. If it was the next Silent Hill I would be pissed.

M$ will have some 3rd party timed exclusives touted as exclusives at E3 until they aren't (usually 3 months- 6 months later).

But whatever MS grab, there will be a "Sigma" PS4 version a year later. (And possibly vice versa). I'd be very surprised if Sunset Overderp doesn't get the Sigma treatment.

oh yeah I know, anything MS doesn't own the IP of has an equal chance of coming over.

Third parties will be more open to giving PS4 exclusives because its the clear market leader this gen. For M$ to lock down any 3rd party exclusives or partnerships that weren't already in place before this gen started they will have to really write some blank checks.

Microsoft entered a partnership with EA back during the One reveal. I'm still waiting to see the benefits of this deal. Maybe E3 will shed some light on this. I still expect MS to swipe up a big 3rd party exclusive on top of what we already know, similar to Resident Evil's deal.
