E3 2021: Capcom + Bandai Namco

You know what? While a lot of people right now are preparing to grab their Mario body pillows and go worship at their secret N-shaped shrines, I'd just like to say: screw that. Sorry, but Capcom is my kind of Japanese publisher; consistent, punctual, and doesn't believe in permanent exclusives. Better yet, they also like to sucker punch people with their platform infidelity. Resident Evil 4 is a Gamecube exclusive? Thwack! No it isn't! Dead Rising 3 is an Xbox exclusive? Thwack! Not any more! Monster Hunter Rise is a Switch exclusive? Thwack! Not for long! Ah Capcom, that's why I love you.

And now all of sudden, they have their own E3 show out of nowhere. All current signs are it will be all about updates to their current games, so manage your expectations. But who knows, there could be a few surprises. Maybe Dragon's Dogma 2? Maybe a new Street Fighter? Maybe a new sexy monster woman to set the internet ablaze with lust all over again? That sense of unknown is fun, and is all part of the E3 experience.

I don't think they'd show much considering they released some of their heavy hitters this year. But who knows?

RE8 DLC, MH:Rise for PC maybe, and a bunch more from their IPs is my guess. Maybe Deep Down perhaps? lol

Oh how I love Capcom. Not really expecting too much though. Not going to be any Street Fighter 6 info when they’re still bringing out stuff for SF5. Would totally flip for a new Darkstalkers or Marvel vs Capcom game but no chance in hell seeing anything on those. Would love for a Dragon’s Dogma 2 but that’s highly unlikely. Probably going to see some stuff on Monster Hunter Rise for both Switch and PC. Some more on Monster Hunter Stories 2. Hoping to see some more games added to the Arcade Stadium. Perhaps some dlc for Resident Evil Village. Would also like to see more on Resident Evil 4 Remake and maybe something on Pragmata.

Show us more about Pragmata please Capcom. Also hopefully maybe voice acting in the Great Ace Attorney Collection.

For Bandai Namco I only know of Tales of Arise but I think at this point it is better I dont look into stuff. I like to experience the surprise myself.

Capcom was my favorite dev for the PS1 and PS2 days. The one announcement that can salvage this E3 for me is a remake or reboot of Dino Crisis in the vein of the RE2 and 3 Remake games.

Time will tell but Capcom is my last hope for this show.

Just show RE4make and I'll be happy.

Considering that the 2020s' Christmas miracle has dropped in the form of Marvelous' Rune Factory 4 for PC, I ain't gonna get my hopes up moving forward.

RE4 remake and a new DMC would make me ungodly happy, also throw in SF6.

There was a point few years back the company looked potentially in its death throws. They seem better today, somewhat. They still pulled a quick RE3 remake cash grab, so, not quite as rehabilitated as I would have hoped, but at least they possess ability to make some great games.

Anyhow, RE8, finished it, wasn't that great TBH. On a second NG+ and now that I am very familiar with the game, there is not a whole lot there.

Capcom show may have been one of the worst E3 presentations of all time. When half your montage at the end shows people talking it may have been a good idea just not to have one.

Just when you thought the bar couldn't get any lower. This was one of the shows that I was most looking forward to...smh. This E3 has been a disaster. Only Nintendo can save us now.

Anyway, check back again at the same official E3 channels for the Bandai Namco showcase. Hopefully we'll get an Elden Ring deep dive after this shambles.
