The cost of a dx10 card has almost halved since its release a few months ago and the 8800gts 320 is almost affordable now once crysis and other dx10 games are out they will be even cheaper, especilly when nvidia gets come competition from amd.
the reason the prices have dropped on the 8800 cards is because of the ATI R600 which is soon coming out, along with an 8800 gtx refresh..
Have you even seen how much more memory bandwidth the r600 has over the 8800 cards? a ton more, especially the watercooled edition.. you should read up about it.

That's all speculation until ATI confirms it. Nope, very real.. apart from the water cooled edition, only a tad of info on that so far.

That's all speculation until ATI confirms it. Nope, very real.. apart from the water cooled edition, only a tad of info on that so far. Did you get this info from the Inq?. It could be legitimate, but it's still all speculation until ATI confirms it.
Worth it to upgrade to if you really need it, but I always buy 1 or 2 steps down from the top of the line. Best bang for your buck. So any upgraded cards bring a 8800 closer to my reach ;)
