Actually..
the reason the prices have dropped on the 8800 cards is because of the ATI R600 which is soon coming out, along with an 8800 gtx refresh..
Have you even seen how much more memory bandwidth the r600 has over the 8800 cards? a ton more, especially the watercooled edition.. you should read up about it.
