Dragon Quest Heroes II GS review: 8/10

Whilte released for the PS3, PS4, Playstation Vista, and PC (multiplatform), Dragon Quest Heroes II received a 8/10 score.

Why didn't they release this for Xbox One?

If I played Dragon Quest enough to know the lore and the references, this would be an immediate buy. Hyrule Warriors was as fun as it was partially because of that reason.

Isn't this game also on Switch? In Japan it's paired with the first Dragon Quest Heroes game and was a launch title, right? Am I just seeing that there's no localization done yet?

Well Phil Spencer went to Japan to secure games most Xbox One owners desire. Games from Japan and the revival of the Kinect with Scorpio are two of the most desired things by current fanbase I think. I can just imagine the thunderous applause when Phil Spencer comes to the stage themed to a J-pop song and announces Persona 6 an Xbox One exclusive. Man the cheering will really bring down the roof.

But only Persona 4 had J-POP, so I think your fantasy may have a flaw there.

You are assuming Persona 6 will be all announced. Plenty of Kawaii stuff for us baka gajin to enjoy. Phil Spencer really did flaunt that money in Japan. Psssh I laugh at the people on gamefaqs that said he jumped on tables and begged for games. It is clear that a man of Phil Spencer's class had a cordial meeting with Japanese publishers and developers and reasoned (offered large sacks of money) to get games on Xbox One.

With Kinectimals 2 and a deluge of Japanese games it is clear the Xbox base will be very satisfied.

But will Persona 6 have JPOP?

Having J-pop is the only way it can beat Zelda's current metacritic score... So yes of course it will.

But only Persona 4 had JPOP

Persona 4 would not have scored as high if it did not have J-pop. Reviewers love that J-pop. Kind of wish they would add J-pop to Gears of War, that would definitely increase sales.

But Persona 5 scored higher and it doesn't have JPOP

Maybe because it was such a great game without it. Idk I never played Persona 4 or 5. This song should play at the start of Xbox's E3 to the amazement of the crowd.

So will Persona 6 have JPOP?

Of course it will. Why wouldn't it?

Never say never... Japanese really like Phil Spencer I think and his trip there will deliver massive results come E3.

If they improved gameplay in 5 than I will imagine they will ask why else it did not get perfect metacritic/gameranking scores. Then they will see the lack of J-pop in 5 as the reason naturally.

Because Persona 5 is not perfect. Close to it, though.

And it does so without JPOP.

Do you something against J-pop? You seem like you do not want a return to form of the 4th game.

I love Persona 4 and I loved its usage of JPOP. But I want each game to be different. If I wanted Persona 4, I would play Persona 4.

@charizard1605: I think Persona 4 scored that high because of the shopping TV channel, can't have been anything to do with quality. It was down to Tanaka's TV Shopping.

It's an area Persona 5 is severely lacking on.

Not a fan of the first one, but I heard they toned down to tower defense stuff, so I'm getting it.

I love how Lemmings wave their peen in people's faces over third-party support, especially Switch owners, while this happens just about every other week now. Maybe you ought to actually have third-party support before holding it over people's heads.
