DOOM Eternal is currently $15 on Steam, $10 for The Ancient Gods DLC

Thought it might be worth a thread. I believe this is the lowest it's ever been on Steam and it's a terrific game. Deal lasts through August 24th.

Wow how come it wasn't $15 during the Steam summer sale? Anyway I'm playing it on gamepass so I don't think I'll buy it, even for the DLC.

Back than, I paid half the price on CDKey for Doom: Eternal but $15 on Steam is a hell of a deal cause the game was freaking amazing.

Not worth buying when you can get it on GP and beat it easily in under a month.

Think it was 67% off on Steam during the sale. Now it's 75%.

Guess I'll scoop it up. I doubt it's for me, we'll see, but at the very least it'll be a good title to run a benchmark test on my new PC with.

15 bucks for both DLCs. Noice. I believe it's time to strike.

I just logged on and bought the DLC.

No idea when I'll actually be playing it. I still have yet to beat the first Doom.

Runs well if you have a GTX970 or a RTX3090. Scales extremely well.

Wait, didn't you keep saying how much of a letdown it was and how bad the platforming and grappling hook were? Unless I'm confusing you with someone else but I do recall you saying the 2016 DOOM is far superior.

You can buy it for $15 on Steam Deck (when it's on sale again) and did I mention, you can play Doom Eternal in 60fps too!

Yeah, Ghost has been all over the place with Doom: Eternal since day one and for once, he's not wrong about the game, it was really fun but slice of bread? LOL yeah right.

I must be thinking of someone else. I do remember someone hyping the heck out of it then complaining it wasn't as good as 2016, but still far superior to most shooters.

Nope. Eternal is superior.

Doom 2016 had better story, better atmosphere, Eternal have better level design, combat loop, platforming is nice change of pace and feel refreshing.

Both Doom and Eternal are among 2 best FPS games ever made.

It’s free on GamePass, Steam can keep that junk.

I was the idiot that pre-ordered this game and the dlc back in 2019 and while I enjoy DOOM Eternal, it definitely wasn't worth the full price. There was just more content in DOOM 2016 and I let myself get washed up in the hype (which I rarely do anymore now, I didn't even give a shit about Cyberpunk).

Now it's dirt cheap.

Better deal on Fanatical. 20€ for the complete edition vs. 22,5€ on Steam.
