I care about fun, competitive games.
Well Doom is much more focused on it's singleplayer when I think of DOOM I don't think of MP that's why I don't think many COD gamers care about a SP game.
Well, that's it for 2019 for me, then. Nothing left but Warframe and backlog.
On the bright side, after cancelling my plan to buy Destiny 2, it literally came down to a coin flip what I would do with the money. Now, I've just freed up another $60 for the option I would have gone with had the coin landed heads.
The crowding of 2020 continues. How are we supposed to save money for new hardware?
2020 is first year of new decade and start of new generation.
so it does looks packed especially early 2020 with Doom and Cyberpunk. I never thought Doom Eternal and Cyberpunk would release in same freaking year!!.
anything can happen. RDR2 PC version announced month before release. this gaming industry is unpredictable.
Well that’s a bit surprising and unexpected. I’m kind of wondering if they might actually be redesigning it to take micro transactions and lootboxes out. They have been taking some flak for some recent games and the whole lootboxes thing has kind of flared up again. They probably want to avoid the big games coming out soon as well however ironically they are also crowding early 2020 game release schedule now.
Hey, it's a good move either way. I want DOOM to succeed so there are more Doom games; if it does not sell well, the franchise might get written off. Would hate to see it go the way of Duke Nukem or Half-Life.
Probably need more time to polish up the hub world that Doom players have been clamoring for.
What is this in regards to? I haven't been following Doom too closely but this is the first time I've heard of a "hub world".

Oh yeah you mean like when you're this one-man army only to go to the hub in your "always-online" singleplayer game with tacked-on multiplayer features (to justify the always online aspect), only to see dozens of other one-man armies standing around, therefore ruining the experience, immersion, story, and feeling of badassedness?
I think Bethesda & ID delay it so they can try and release Doom Eternal along side for Switch cause Doom 2016 ran okayish on Switch and looking to do the same again for Eternal coming to Switch. Release Doom Eternal on all platforms, sure why not?
Kinda saw this coming since we haven't seen or heard anything since Quakecon and not even an Nvidia RTX trailer or mention of what type of ray tracing it will use.
@davillain-: I think that another developer is doing the Switch port so they probably work a bit behind the main developer. They could hold off on releasing the other versions until the Switch version gets done but I guess they don’t want do that. They’ll probably be a few months apart.

Development troubles, I mean so much for raising the bar hey ghost LOL.
They delayed it for few month just for polish. Every developer do this. so yes it will still raise the bar. even more since its delayed for few month.
but why you enter threads for games that you dont even care? you dont care about RDR2 but enter there just to troll PC gamers play it year later when this was not first case of timed exclusive
you only play forza and thats it. you my friend couldnot list top 15 games because there are no 15 forza released now.

As long as it doesn't get cancelled, I don't mind waiting.
I'm a bit surprised to see it being delayed I'm not against it if it means it releases a better experience. Too many games have released unfinished this gen and updated with patches.
