This controller makes more noise than any other controller ive ever used.

The sticks are loud the bumpers are very loud the d-pad is also clicky and noisy this whole controller is a massive noise machine.

The UI is a god damn mess PS4 i have sleek background and music playing and just goes right to my most played game in the disc drive.

Can anyone explain to me the ps4 bumpers feel a lot like xbox 360 bumpers light flowing easy laid back taps and its perfection to me and I love clicking the motion pad and going into orbit in destiny and other games.

Clicking on that is so satisfying using the xbox one controller is just frustrating.

Also double AA batteries in 2017? That stuff died out in 2010 with the iphone even my razor is rechargeable who the hell is in charge of this crap?

AA batteries are optional. It is better because if you just have a rechargeable when it dies you are restricted to plugging it in.

No idea what clicking you are talking about, and in my view you are making a mountain out of a molehill.

How can someone not like FFXIII, wtf? Also how do I play those on Xbox? FFXIII, XIII-2 and Lightning Returns are not crap. They are pillars in the gaming community.

I have very mixed feelings about the controller. I like the vibrating triggers a lot (once I got used to them) - it makes driving more immersive in Forza. But it is noisy and the d-pad is simply bad. I have a fair number of other quibbles with it, but those go more into personal taste, so I won't go there.

The Xbox One controllers are noisy ass mother*****. Now how and why you dragged UI and battery into the discussion is beyond me. I heard you can use rechargeable in since 2013 and they last longer than the PS4 controller. But that is old news.

The battery life for the AA's is excellent, most impressive thing about it besides the vibrating triggers.

This is akin to crying about noise of a computer mouse click, or the noise from a mechanical keyboard. In other words, arguing just to argue.

I have two xbox controllers for windows, one of them has flawless analog sticks, the other sounds like a squeaky door every time it moves.

The d-pad is complete garbage on both of them, but I like the bumpers just fine.

As for the batteries, I agree, but I guess I'd still prefer AAs to abysmal battery life, which is apparently an issue that plagues the DS4. Though I never game for more than 4-5 hours in one session, so I haven't actually run into that issue with my DS4 yet.

The PS4 controller does have better bumpers than the Xbox One controller, but on the other hand, the Xbox One controller has better triggers than the PS4 controller. So take your pick, do you care more about the bumpers or the triggers? Personally, the only game that I've found where I prefer playing with the PS4 controller over the Xbox One controller is Dark Souls III since that game has me using the bumpers more than any other button and was obviously designed around the PS4 controller with no care given to making it also work great with the Xbox One controller. For all other games that I've tried, I prefer the Xbox One controller.

And I never understood the complaint that some Playstation fans make about AA batteries and why they act like they have never heard of the existence of rechargeable AA batteries before and will completely ignore whenever someone brings up using rechargeable AA batteries so that they can continue to act like we have to buy brand new batteries every time that they run out of juice. I love that the Xbox One uses AA batteries; that's a positive to me and I wish that the PS4 used it as well. I love how long rechargeable AA batteries last and I prefer to be able to quickly swap my rechargeable AA batteries with some already charged AA batteries when the batteries in my controller dies while gaming so that I can quickly get back to gaming over having to start charging my entire controller when the battery dies while gaming like with the PS4 controller. Plus, the integrated battery in the PS4 controller will eventually completely die permanently whereas rechargeable AA batteries will always be cheap and easy to replace.

Rechargeable AA batteries > integrated batteries

The only issue i have with XB1 controller would probably be the Dpad.

Complaining about batteries is stupid considering you can get 25-30hrs of playtime compared to MAYBE 5-6 with the DS4........with the light dimmed.

I wish the DS4 had batteries. Charging after every use is super annoying.

The 360 controller was far better, but the bumpers on XB1 controller are great.

This is smart advice, but the PS4 fanboys will just ignore it since they like to pretend that rechargeable AA batteries don't exist so that they can keep making fun of Xbox using AA batteries to help them feel better about the incredibly short battery life of the PS4 controller.

@storm_of_swords: I am a ps fan and wouldn't mind the option as it could bring down the cost of ds4 controllers plus I like duracell. I don't even think even old wii motes can eat those up fast. And I'm not certain since I've regrettingly skipped ps3 and havent owned a playstation in awhile but I think some fans abuse their controllers. Like extremely long play sessions and throwing the controller in a pissy rage. That might be why ps controllers don't last. Seems like both sides need to calm their fan boy sections. I'm getting g tired of these sort of nitpicking topics popping up.

Xbone controller seems pretty great all around except for those shitty analogs. Just as the PS4 controller is pretty great all around aside from those shitty triggers.

I've just gone back to the 360 controller as my main.

EXACTLY man The Dual shock 4 feels like a massive upgrade. I can change the color of the lights on PC to any color I want, it has a great motion pad I can use as a mouse. THIS IS WHAT THE STEAM CONTROLLER should have done give you great mouse control its a way better PC controller than the steam controller.

Think about it Sony manage to put in LED lights, a motion pad, AND a rechargeable battery at 60 dollars.

Microsoft charged 60 dollars for none of them and step backs from the 360 controller in a lot of ways so the price doesn't make any sense they threw in a couple batteries which cost them pennies and charged 60 dollars they didn't give you a light or motion pad or even a rechargable battery with a cord THATS SEPERATE you have to pay like 45 bux for the cord to use your controller connected it doesn't come with a god damn cord in the box. THERE IS NO CORD to connect to xbox or PC.

Also What happened to Select (options) Start (pause or start a game) XBOX renamed the points to 3 squiggy lines and the other one has 2 squiggly lines I don't even know what the buttons mean anymore on xbox THERES no name on them.

Don't see what the problem is with the Xbox One controller myself, I love it. I use the rechargeable pack for my controller and I think it's just fine. Lasts a pretty long time before I need to recharge it and even then it's not a big deal at all, just plug it in and keep playing. The cord is lengthy enough. Don't see why you had to mention the UI as well but trolls are going to troll I guess. Personally I like the UI myself and don't have any real issues there either.

Yeah, the one S even adds gripping to the controller. I am psyched to see if they can even make the controller design better with the Scorpio (I doubt it). Even if they manage to increase it slightly it is still an amazing feat.

Bumpers on the S controller don't make noise or click.

Also the game on your disk drive is always on the front page, no idea what your complaint actually is

Ds4 on the other hand still has shitty triggers, has joysticks too stiff to make precise movements and the battery life is about 4 hours. No thanks.

The d-pad isn't really usable to move a character in a game, or long term. But I like it a lot better than 360's that thing felt awful.

@ProtossRushX: It's probably because, no one is focused on the button noises when they have headphones on or have the TV volume up at anything decent.

I have no problems with anything Xbox, the controller is great, Live is amazing, the UI is simple and everything is within a button click or two.
