I don't know how it'll look for games but I don't really notice the difference between DV and HDR10. At least on my OLED C8. I'm looking to get the new C1 or G1 later this year. Maybe I'll see the difference with a better panel.

They were doing Dolby Vision back when Battlefield 1 came out. Not sure what is new here.

good luck. most has to be done using some type of auto hdr. which is fake hdr.

game dev will not spend time/money/ following a dam standard to do hdr right sadly.

Great addition…..though I’m happy enough with hdr10, let’s see if I can see any difference. This, and Atmos….proper “3D sound”.

You'll probably notice the difference in movies where Dolby Vision is used as a band aid for crappy compression, like Total Recall.

Macroblocking in HDR10:

Dolby Vision:

I don't plan to upgrade to DV until some while after the MKV community figures out how to easily play back DV.

I agree. I hope the PS gets games soon. I get tired of dusting my PS5.

No. You paid for the license when you bought a Dolby Vision TV.

Rolling out Dolby Vision is cool and all, but when will they roll out actual video games? 2022? 2023? 2024? When?

I have the same TV and yes it does.

You just need to enable it in the xbox display setting and then when you launch a DV game you get the DV logo in the corner.

I just tried MSFS and looks great.

LG CX supports Dolbv Vision gaming, but only at 4K60, not 4K120.
